I can do this!
So after going on an almost month long binge, I am finally getting back on plan. I HATE how I do this to myself. I make the choice to eat something that is bad for me and then I use that as an excuse to eat whatever I want for the rest of the day. Then one day turns into two, two days turn into a week and so on. It's such a slippery slope and I completely fell down it head first. But I'm sprinting back up!
What I've learned from this binge:
1.) I turn to food for comfort
2.) I need to work on loving myself and my body
3.) I need to be more independent and not let the decisions of others affect my eating/exercising decisions.
Very important and eye opening lessons. Luckily, I'm only up 6 pounds. I was really dreading the scale but I knew that I had to face it in order to begin getting back on track. I've learned that non food incentives work really well in getting me motivated and getting me back on plan so I've devised a multi day sort of plan. One day on plan I get a haircut 2 days on plan I get highlights and 4 days on plan I've earned the money to buy a salon quality product for my new beautiful hair! The days must be consecutive and they total to 7 days. I scheduled my appointment for a week from today and that is even more incentive to not go off plan because someone else will be affected by it.
I know that I can do this, and I know that I will reach my goal!
