W.O.W. Memorial Day Challenge 2010 Last WEEK!!
OMG. This is the last week of this challenge? Its gone by so flipping fast. I'm not posting my w/i until tomorrow because I haven't been on the scale all weekend.
Next challenge~ I'm thinking July 4th. It will be a short one, but I think shorter challenges during the summer seem a bit better.
Today~Starting my 2010 minutes of Moving challenge. If Nana takes Mak after school, I'm going to get in at least 20 minutes of cardio after work. But I may send the kids home with Will and workout anyway. My goal is 35 minutes of exercise on workdays. Then I am going to start my aerobics clas in the mornings again in addition to my 60 minute workout. Its 4 weeks. I can do it!
W 64 oz
E 35 minutes of planned workout
E1200 cals.
D 20 minutes of cardio after work.

Happy Monday everyone! I can't believe we are only a week away from Memorial Day.
I am not getting my exercise in like I should. I am active and moving and doing things, but not specifically exercising. I need to focus on that this week. I am also struggling with my food - I'm getting tired of planning and really struggling with not eating what's easy. I have been under my calories most days this past week and it's simply because I haven't been in the mood for food, especially food that takes much effort.
Week 1: 247.4
Week 2: 241.2
Week 3: 240.5
Week 4: 236.4 (the 220's are in sight)
Week 5: 235.6 TOM
Week 6: 237 (Monday, May 10)
Week 7: 232.8
Week 8: 230.2 (almost to my goal for the challenge)
W: At least 48 ounces of water
E: Minimum of 30 minutes 5 days a week ~ Walk at least 1 mile daily
E: Calories within 1600-1800
D: Clean out my closet & dresser - get rid of things I don't/can't wear (didn't get this done last week)

Week 1- 178.6
Week2- 175.8 That looks pretty, huh??
Week 3- 181. REALLY??? how can that happen??
Week 4- 179.6 This is crazy.
Week 5- 179.6 It is also TOM.
Week 6- 178.2 Same ole tune.
Week 7- 178.4
Week 8- 178.6 Really?? I'm ending up right where I started??
I guess there is still time to lose a bit. However, TOM is coming so don't know how well that will work. I have been eating a min. of 1600 calories a day for almost a week. I am going to try and stick with it for a month and see what happens.
I got in some miles this weekend. LISTEN JENI- I did 2.6 running...straight. Walked a bit then did another .8. Walked some more then did another 1/2 mile home. Look at me, huh?? 5 miles total. Hotter than hot on Sunday so I just walked 3 miles.

Kris you are doing so AWSOME!!!
Mindy~GREAT RUN!! I'm so proud of you!!
I got in a run after work myself. I grabbed Tommy from daycare, and went straight to the gym for a run. Nana took Mak to swimming so I had 25 minutes to run! It felt so good!

Week 5: 142
Week 6: 141

This was what my w/i's looked like in Nov/Dec. So I know I need the extra workouts to get back to the 130's. Because I was down to 136 with my crazy workout schedule. Most of June wont be to bad for workouts because Tommy doesn't have swim lessons until the end of the month, so I can get in after work.
Today I may take Tommy to the doctor, his ear is hurting him.
W 80 oz
E 50 cardio/ 10 weights/15 abs
E 1400 cals
D vacuum, dishes.

Sigh. NO workout today. I had to take Tommy to the doctor. He has yet another ear infection. This is the 3rd one since January, poor little man.

Thanks Jeni ~ I appreciate it. I need to work harder. I've gotten very lazy about exercise and have been relying way to much on just my diet. I am exercising some, but not near what I need to be doing. If I want to get to 216 (40 lbs total lost) by the 4th of July, I really need to step it up.

Hey ladies,
fizzling out here lately, great job on the losses everyone! I've actually gained weight this challenge, up to 167 this morning so discouraging to say the least. However I picked up my first CSA share and i foresee a lot of veggies in my future...

I did 50 min walk/jog today. I did no workout last night. My Gruve didn't even hit blue, let alone green. That's okay. My goal is getting a little too high. I have been sticking to at least 1600 cals for over a week now. I am determined to stick with it for a month and see what happens.
Keep on truckin girls.

Well, at least it's a loss. I ate pretty bad for dinner all this week, so I'm really surprised that I lost anything. It's crunch time for me for the next few weeks. My 5 year HS reunion is June 12 and I'd like to lose at least 5 lbs by then. So I have 2 weeks! I am determined to do this. I'll be burning some extra calories today because I'm going hit some golf balls at the driving range with my boyfriend. It's my first time hitting a "real" golf ball (I've only played mini-golf) so this should be interesting lol.

I got nothing accomplished this challenge, but that is MY fault.
I ate like crap, exercised when I felt like it and wonder why I lost no weight. On a good note, I also got my real estate license last winter and started really focusing on a second career in RE. Helpful because I love it and it gives me no time to sit around.
Next challenge, I plan to get myself out of the 150's for the last time. 6 weeks and 2 days til the 4th, today I am 158.8. July 4th I am going to shoot for 10 pounds down. Lofty goal, but I think I can do it. 140's here I come!
Today is my hair day. I have an appt this afternoon with an expensive but very good hairstylist to change my look! I have worn my same Farrah Fawcett hair for most of the last 25 years. Time for a change.

Mothermavis ~ Good luck on your goal for the 4th of July. My 4th of July goal is to be as close to 216.5 as possible (that would be my 40 lb mark). This morning I am 230.5 ~ again. And, unfortunately, the 4th is only 5 weeks and 2 days away, not 6 weeks
Happy Friday everyone!
