Smile Build Your BURGER Here!

With Memorial Day week-end and Summer almost here I was wondering what you're putting on your burger

We are celebrating Memorial Day Thank-You TROOPS Everywhere as a family on Sunday afternoon with a BBQ and shuffleboard tournament

For our BBQ we will have burgers and brats

With 20-25 folks being here everyone has their favorite fixins....

Here is what I'll have this time...

Brat ~ Nice Kaiser roll with hot mustard, a little horseradish and sauerkraut

Burger ~ Nice wheat bun with swiss cheese, avocado, bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onion, regular mustard

Angie and I thought about our grilled sourdough parmesan burgers but with the crowd it would be difficult...it's killer though...

as Rachael says and we know you all love her Yum-O

What's your burger or favorite option lookin' like?

I love a good burger, can't beat it.

Nothing fancy on mine. The usual fixings lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo and relish. Oh and some nice cheese.

Don't forget the sides. Baked beans, potato salad and corn on the cob.

What? No green chile? Green chile is a must. Everything else (including the burger and the bun) is optional.

A little smattering of mustard & ketchup, and a buncha pickles (or relish), then cheddar, sauteed mushrooms, and bacon.

Good thing I'm not going to any BBQs this weekend.

Dill pickle, onion, mustard, jalapenos and a little real mayo or ranch salad dressing.

Never been a ketchup fan, and after years with a guy that put ketchup on everything I rarely use it.

Bummer....I think I am skipping the avocados....way too pricey right now...

cool for Angie and I but no way I'm paying $1 a piece ....my family could eat a tree of avos if available!

They'll have to survive with the bus load of meat and buns I bought today...plus whatever they all bring.

BABY CATCHER I went with the big can of diced green chilies!

I'm waiting until I can go back to Serbia late June/early July and get a big ol' Pljeskavica.

Pljeskavicas are basically hamburgers... except they have a mix of beef, pork, and lamb in the meat. And the bread is homemade bread.

I always have on it:

Slatki Kupus (like saurkraut... except not)
Luk (diced onions)
Ketchup (self-explanatory... )
i malo ljuto (paprika)

So yeah... I'm really looking forward to that... I'll continue on and ignore the whole "memorial day" fatty stuff... and wait for that. Because I'm not a "burger" person... but pljeskavicas... well...

Burgers are on the menu tonight. Whole wheat buns, 97% sirloin, red onion, fresh tomato and lettuce. A little no fat mayo. Ketchup and mustard. Oh, and pepper jack cheese. Baked beans on the side.

Gary. Yumm--avocado. Love them. Never buy them as no one else will eat them with me. So sad.

We have a local grocery here that sells the most amazing jalapeno burgers. Perhaps Monday we'll bbq some of those!

I like my burgers a little black on the outside...with that nice grilled flavor. Wheat bun loaded with a ton of pickles, mustard, ketchup and some sauteed onions. Yum.
