NSV - Didn't drink at a party!
I'm in college and it seems like the only way to socialize involves drinking. It's fun partying and my boyfriend is a big drinker so I usually end up getting pretty drunk and then I eat basically whatever I want at night and then the next day to soothe my hungover self. So I've come to the realization that losing weight is going to require cutting way back on drinking, but I still want to hang out with my friends.
Last night I went to a party and drank water all night! I put a little lime in my cup so people assumed I was drinking gin and tonic or something... it really wasn't awkward and I had fun talking to people and hanging out while sober. And no late night binges or crappy eating today! I'm super hydrated now, haha.
Just wanted to share my exciting discovery that I don't have to drink to have fun. I'm hoping I can keep it up long enough that I will just be known as one of those people who doesn't drink much and the peer pressure to drink will go away.
Anyone else feeling great for flexing those willpower muscles at a party?
