Default I did it! With thanks to Vixsin...

I have just come back from the most exhausting, agonising and amazing time of my entire life - my first 10km!

I just cannot believe how good it was and how great I feel!

Special thanks to Vixsin who inspired me to go and do it with her 5km thread from earlier in the week - without you posting that I really think I would have not turned up today!

I ran the 10km in 73 minutes, averaging just over 8km/hour!! And I ran/jogged the entire way with NO WALKING?!?!?!

I am so proud of myself and hope ANYONE out there who is considering doing a 10km uses this as a PUSH into signing up - it was fantastic.

Congratulations! That is quite an accomplishment! I just walked my 1st half marathon a few weeks ago, but did not train for it (ouch), so there was NO running involved and there was actually some LIMPING. The point being, I really admire your being able to run that whole race!

My feet hate me now though! Definitely should have invested in proper fitting trainers- ouch!

I don't know how the **** people run half-marathons and marathons. 10km was about my limit! It was quite overwhelming passing the finish line as I couldn't believe I'd run it all - I was expecting to run the first 5km and then walk-run the rest.

I will definitely be signing up to more runs like this in the future

I knew you could do it!!! I just knew it!!!! I am so proud of you!!!!

Didn't it feel great??? Didn't it feel so amazing to be so surprised in how strong you really are???

You did it, chickie! You pushed through that fear! There is NOTHING that you can't accomplish now!!!

I've been doing my interval training and because of your post, I can't wait to get to the gym today and push myself just a little harder.

REALLY proud of you!!! You should be so proud of yourself!!!

GREAT JOB!!!

Haha, oh god, that sounds horrendous!! I definitely can't wait until my next one, although my legs still really really hate me today.

I'd love to become a seasoned runner who can handle those sorts of distances!
