Default Summer Fitness Challange...

Hi Ladies!

What do you say, we set some Summer Fitness Challange goals for ourselves(those who are entering summer anyway)?

Mine is to run a loop of 2.2miles that is in the neighborhood behind my apartment complex twice, non-stop in under an hour.

Anyone game?

Ohh! I like this, can I chime in? My goal is to be able to run around the lake in our city without stopping. It is a 3.7 mile loop.

I have 2 goals that I would like to complete. First I joined a boot camp and would love to be able to make it to the end of the class without having to stop to take a break. Also I would like to be able to do 30mins on my eliptical, right now I have a hard time but can do 15 mins.

What's the time limit on this? Beginning of summer or end of summer?

By the end of July, I'd like to be able to run 50 minutes (5 min warm up walk and 45 minute run) at 9km/h (5.5mph). I'm currently at 8.6km/h (5.3mph) at 45 minutes (5 warm up walk and 40 minute run). I've got this pain in my belly, so hoping that I'll get rid of that in the next couple of weeks.

So, count me in.

I would like to be able to jog 30 min without stopping (with a 5 min warm up). Right now the longest I can jog without stopping is 8 minutes...(1 month ago I could barely do 2 min jog)......

Good Luck to all!!

I'd like to get over 90 on my next fit test (in July). To do this, I need to lose 1 inch in my waist (get to 34") and take about 50 seconds off my run (get under 13:14...my last one was 14:03). Goals for each category are in red below:

Ab Cir.: 34" or less
Push-ups in 1 minute: 30 or more (46 is max points)
Sit-ups in 1 minute: 45 (this is max points)
1.5 mile run: 13:14 or less (10:51 is max points)

This will put me in the "Excellent" category for the first time!

I'd like to be able to run 5K at 6.0 mph. (I'm currently on week 5 of C25K at 5.0 mph)

I'd like to be brave enough to run outside.

I'd like to be able to do 30 consecutive push-ups (on my toes). Currently I can do 12.

I'd like to get out on my bike with my children. I ride in Spin Cycle class, so why not outside??

I will meet and exceed these!

I want to join!

I want to complete the C25K program (currently W1D3).

I also want to move from wall pushups to knee pushups.

Bear with me! I'm a beginner fitness nut!

Well, I'm not a lady, so I hope it's o.k. for me to post here...

My goals for this summer are:

1. Get at least an excellent low on the Navy PFA in early June. This means I have to weigh in at 186 (if I measure at 5'9") or 181 (if I measure in at 5'8"), this seems to fluctuate every time I get measured. I'm at 188 now...

I also need to get at least the following:

81 sit ups in 2 minutes
64 push ups in 2 minutes
11:15 on the mile and a half run

2. To finish the Beach Body Insanity workout on July 11. This should also help with goal one.

Since this goes to September 1st, I'll be setting new goals in July that will still be part of this...but these are what I have for now. I may see if there is a half marathon in my future later this year (I love to run and think I might be able to get there if I really work for it after Insanity is done).

My height seems to change every time for the AF test too...not sure how I get shorter and taller...
