Default Effort to get back on track: meal planning for next week

I'll start with Sunday so we have Saturday to get to the grocery store.

Breakfast for the week - one of the egg and veggie casseroles from Kalyn's Kitchen. Probably mushroom, asparagus and cheese. Tea w/splenda, skim milk.

Snacks - cheese sticks, apples, nonfat greek yogurt, fresh or frozen (no sugar added) berries, celery with natural PB, nuts, black beans with salsa.

Lunch - salads with turkey/chicken/tuna and beans with NSA dressing OR turkey or tuna wraps with LF cheese in 100% whole wheat tortillas.

Dinner - this requires more planning;
1. Crack slaw with snow peas, mushrooms, other veggies added to it. 1/2c. brown rice
2. Whole wheat pizza with veggie crumble, veggies, low fat mozz, and sugar free sauce. big salad
3. Salad and veggie burgers with low fat cheese (no rolls or bread)
4. mexican chicken (crock pot), couscous, salad
5. sugar free teriyaki chicken, quinoa, veggies
6. leftovers
7. taco bake for me; DH and DD can eat their beloved raviolis; salad

This will make it easier for me to write a grocery list!

Good job. Shop for all those things; when you get home, slice the veggies for snacks etc. so when you need to grab something you have it. Don't allow bad food in the house. Throw it all out now and also any stuff that might be hanging around your desk at work. Keep nuts, etc. there so if you need to satisfy hunger you can do it ON PLAN. Get on plan food that you actually LIKE so you will look forward to eating it. Planning is essential. You are doing great.

Great job planning ahead, Tall Girl. I've been working on planning more and more and find it really helps me to stay on track....that and posting every day, no matter what.

Best wishes!

Planning is great, it helps me so much too! I plan dinners for the week on Monday. It not only helps me stay OP, but it also eliminates that annoying "What should we have for dinner tonight?" To me the hardest part of making meals is deciding what to make! My breakfast is the same every day (I have always done this, even before starting SBD, I'm too grumpy in the morning to be creative.) And for lunch and snacks I have different OP options available that I go through day by day. A lot of times my lunch will be leftovers from dinner the night before, which helps keep my fridge less full so I have more room for all those fresh veggies.

Your week looks great TallGirl, best of luck to you!

Well, we bought all the food I needed to make everything and then my stomach bug came back. I just can't shake this thing and anything other than bland, no fiber foods make it worse. Today I phased back in a plain boneless skinless chicken breast, tomato and a little lowfat cheese so I pray that doesn't bother my stomach. I actually REALLY want a salad because I'm actually hungry now so I might chance it. I need some fiber and protein to fill me up!
