I was at work today and heard a voice that sounded familiar. It was a man I met years ago (like 20 or more years ago) through work. I said, 'hi Richard, how are you?' He said 'hi' back, but I could tell he couldn't place me. After a couple minutes, he remembered who I was...and came up close (but not in a creepy way
) and said, 'what is your secret? You...look...fantastic!'
I laughed and said, 'motorcycles and lots of makeup!'
and he said, 'no, really, you look younger than when I first met you'.
I was probably the same weight back then, but I never ever exercised. I have now been exercising regularly for 8 years now (even though I don't watch closely enough what goes in my mouth!) But I know it's the exercising that has shaped what I have.
So that comment really, really made my day!! because I was wearing my first t-shirt of the season and was really, really self-conscious of my upper arms (big upper arms! but I'm workin on it
)
