Little Woosh! Loving the Woosh.
So last week the scale said 228lbs. And I thought that was awesome. I was back to the 50lbs lost on my ticker again. But I was so super spot on with my plan since I started this that I thought for sure I would at least be down 1 more lb this week. I weighed everyday (which I know I shouldn't and have to stop) and it always said 228. This morning, after a particularly bad night of cravings WHICH I IGNORED!, the scale said 224lbs.
A little woosh I know but for me this means I am 1 lb away from taking off every lb I gained back this winter. I am soooo excited to get past this hump and start flying past where I was. This is my year. This is the year I am going to do it. And I can't stop smiling inside.

Gotta get this outta the way - why do you HAVE to stop weighing everyday???? For me, it's a great way to keep accountable. It's a great way to stay focused. It's a great little reminder first thing in the morning that getting to and remaining a healthy weight is IMPORTANT.
Okay. Now the celebration - NICE WOOSH!!!! Which of course YOU made happen. Sticking with that plan, ignoring those cravings (hey, you're a big girl, you CAN (& SHOULD) tell yourself no!).
Great going. I'm so happy for you. Now just keep at it. Just keep on going. Sticking with that plan. Letting it become habit, routine. Make it enjoyable. Make it natural. MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE!!!

Congrats!!! It's always seemed to me that daily weighing isn't a bad thing, as long as you dont let the scale control all aspects of your life and it doesn't create anymore food-psychological food issues than you already deal with. I've also noticed that my body CRAVES food as I lose which makes sense. Our bodies are comfortable (not healthy) at the weights we've made them carry. It thinks it needs this in order to stay this weight, and it does. Everytime I give in, I don't lose, everytime I resist the weight steadily comes off. Good for you for resisting.

Four pounds is awesome! Congratulations! I also weigh every day - if I don't weigh every day then I am less likely to be focused. I have learned not to let the daily fluctuations bother me and have one day that is my official weight day - but I still need to start my day by stepping on the scale. In the past when I started ignoring the scale, I started ignoring my plan. My diabetic doctor actually told me he wanted me to weigh every day and write down what I eat, what I weigh and what my sugars are in a notebook - so I can "see" the direct result of the food choices I make. Although I am not writing in a notebook, I am doing most of those things on this forum and on fitday and it has helped a great deal.
Keep up the good work!

Rockinrobin. I totaly get what yer saying but I find (for me) I start to obsess a little. I feel like I need to see a little movement everytime or I feel like I haven't done enough. I find once a week or even 2 times a week is good for me to stay on top of things.
Thanks for all the congrats guys! As if the woosh didn't feel good enough you guys make me feel great.
