Red face Dinner Ideas for on the run Phase 1

I am going to be on the go all day to day. I need to think of something other than Salad to eat for dinner tonight. Something I can take with me or maybe in the car!!!! Any suggestions would help this busy mom with kids in sports. I do not want to blow it and I am SICK of salads today!!!

DO you have time to do a Wendy's run? I love their chili on busy days like that.

Oh good idea maybe I can get one and heat it up before I go or put it into a thermos. Is that phase 1 worthy? I am just sick of salads at this point

How about a roast chicken from the store? I have to pull the skin off, otherwise I'm tempted. They are usually a little saltier than I like, but transportable and P1 friendly. Then you could take the carcass, throw it in a pot with water and with adding veggies and lentils or beans you'd have a ready made soup.

You're Phase I? I usually pack snacks in that situation - nuts, cheese cubes or cheese stick, deviled or hard boiled eggs, hummus with raw veggies, soup in a thermos, 3 bean salad, a piece of frittata, a bean brownie,

Wendy's chili is ok for Phase 1. I wouldn't do it every day, but once in a while is fine. I always have the side salad with it to, but I guess since you are sick of salads you could skip that. Of course, if you're able to bring a thermos, you could also rummage through the fridge and see if there are any leftovers you can heat up quick before you leave your house.

If you've got a thermos, how about making the refried bean soup or the broccoli cheese soup and bringing those along with you? (Recipes in the phase 1 soups here) Both are really quick and easy to fix and IMO both are OK lukewarm if they have to be. (My lunch break is often interrupted. lol)
