Default Sparkling NSV!

In September 2008, my (then) boyfriend proposed. The ring was a size 8, and I'd recently lost ~50lbs, so it had to be sized down to a 6. I joked that it was the only time in my life I'd ever worn a size 6 of anything. Then we got married in June 2009 and both my engagement ring and my wedding band fit perfectly, still at a size 6.

Then, I gained weight, and I haven't been able to wear either of my rings for the last couple of months. They were just slightly too tight to be comfortable, and I considered asking my husband to have them sized larger as a Valentine's Day gift so that I could wear them again.

BUT... Now they fit again! The scale hasn't moved for me yet, but I know my clothes are getting looser and apparently my fingers are starting to lose some of their original sausage-ness. Yay!

It's the small things, isn't it? They keep me going...

You sound so much like me, right down to the ring size! Lately I've been wearing my engagement ring only (a year ago I was wearing a larger, cheap fake ring), and I can't wait until I can wear both of my rings together.

Congratulations!

I haven't been able to wear my engagement ring/wedding ring in over a year. I'm hopeful that they'll both fit again soon!

I'm actually supposed to go pick my rings up this afternoon. I had to have some repair work done and also had to have them sized down from 7.5 to 6.5. If I were wearing a single ring I'd be comfy in a 6 or 6.25, but with the doubling I'm more comfy going up a bit. Even as a teen my ring size was 7, so this 6-6.5 thing is wonderfully crazy to me.

That's cool. I was reading a thread on Sunday about how people have to get their rings sized after loosing a lot of weight. I didn't think about that.

That is a great NSV!!! Yeah for you!

My rings don't fit yet. I haven't worn them in a year. Even when I've lost a lot of weight before, I was never below an 8. Ya'll must have really small hands. I'm ready to get them back on.

That is great! The first place I could tell a loss was in my wrist and then hands. I have had to quit wearing my rings but a nice side effect is that I have been able to wear my grandmother's wedding ring as a replacement.

Keep this up and you will have to have your rings sized DOWN!
