I think I would like to jump in on an exercise challenge, but it seems if I focus on the pounds I don't do as well. SOOOOO, my challenge is to do jazzercise 4 times a week and do weight lifting 3 times a week and focus on my exercise level and keep increasing it. So, by Valentines day I hope to be comfortably down a dress size to where it is very loose on me at least!!

Hi Ladies,

Could I join you for and exercise challenge. I am already in a lbs. valentine challenge and hope to lose 7 lbs by valantine's day at a pound a week. For my exercise I plan to do at least a mile a day on the bike or treadmill. That is 7 days by 7 weeks, a total of 49 miles. and if I start today that is an extra day, so we will make it an even 50 miles by Valentine's day. Wow, those miles will add up if I can motivate myself to do it every day. That is why I need this challenge. LETS DO IT. IT'S A NEW YEAR AND A NEW CHALLENGE.

50 miles by Valentine's day! HAPPY NEW YEAR

12/30/02 1 mile on the treadmill - just over 21 minutes - I am late getting started with this challenge after goofing off with no exercise and eating chocolate during the last week. BUT NO MORE - AFTER HAVING MY FILL I GOT RID OF ALL THE CHOCOLATE AND AM READY TO WORK NOW!
1/1/03 1.10 miles in 25 minutes on the treadmill - It's a new year - I will try not to miss a day from now until valentine's day!
1/2/03 1.30 miles in 29.40 minutes on the treadmill
1/3/03 1.10 miles in 25.23 minutes treadmill 22 min for mile. 4&1/2 to date.
1/4/03 1.50 miles in 33.00 minutes treadmill 20.30 min for mile.
1/5/03 1.52 miles in 34.30 minutes treadmill 20.57 min for mile.
1/6/03 1.50 miles in 33.25 minutes treadmill 21.00 min for mile.
1/7/03 1.50 miles in 33.20 minutes treadmill 21.20 min for mile.
1/8/03 1.50 miles in 32.00 minutes treadmill 20.50 min for mile.
1/9/03 1.10 miles in 24.00 minutes treadmill 21.10 min for mile.
1/10/03 1.50 miles in 33.22 minutes treadmill 21.25 min for mile. 14 & .62 miles to date.
1/11/03 1.68 miles in 37.30 minutes treadmill 20.38 min for mile.
1/12/03 1.20 miles in 26 miinutes treadmill 20.20 min for mile.
1/13/03 2 miles in 45.26 minutes treadmill. I MADE IT - 2 MILES
1/14/03 2.10 miles in 49.20 min. treadmill. 44.20 min for 2 miles
1/15/03 1.30 miles in 34.oo min. treadmill. I was pushing it a little, my legs were giving me a hard time and I had a blister on my foot, so will slowly increase again until I get to 2 miles. I think that is better then skipping any days.
1/16/03 1.50 miles in 35.46 min. treadmill.
1/17/03 1.60 miles in 37.26 min. treadmill. 25 & 1/2 MILES TO DATE- MORE THEN HALF WAY THERE
1/18/03 1.70 miles in 39.34 min. treadmill.
1/19/03 1.80 miles in 42.12 min. treadmill.
1/20/03 2 miles in 47.36min. treadmill. Made it back to 2 miles without leg pain or blisters!
1/21/03 1 mile, I got up late and had a full day, so this was the first chance to do exercise and I decided not to push it, because later in day my feet and legs bother me more. At least I didn't skip a day
1/22/03 2 miles, 49.23 min. treadmill.
1/23/03 1 mile, 25.23 min. treadmill - my knees are hurting today for some reason, will try and do the other mile later today!
1/24/03 1.50 miles, 35.34 min. treadmill - 36 & 1/2 MILES TO DATE. GETTING THERE!
1/26/03 1.80 miles, 45.43 min, treadmill - Missed a day yesterday, just lazy, can't let that happen again!
1/27/03 2.10 miles, 52.45 min, treadmill, I walk slow for the last few tens of a mile to cool down, so that messes up my times, but I think it is good to do that.
1/28/03 1.60 miles, 39.00 min, treadmill
1/30/03 2.30 miles, 55.00 min, treadmill, 2 miles in 46.00 min. I will add my time up today, I know I wont have time for exercise or posting tomorrow - 44.30 MILES TO DATE.

My challange will be this...

So far I can jog/run for 20 minutes outside. Each week I will add 5 minutes. I will do this until Valentines Day. Then if I am sick of running I can give up

Hi Ladies,

This challenge is really helping to motivate me to exercise. I have been working on my treadmill - every - morning and recording the results here and have already done 21 miles of my 50 mile Valentine's day challenge. I am almost half way there! I can't believe it. And the exercise has helped me to lose the three lbs I gained over the holidays, so I am now ready to make some more progress in this weight loss program! I have increased my daily mileage from 1 mile to 2. 40 lbs gone forever!

Thanks for the challenge! Good luck to everyone
