Angry My Snack Machine Rejected Me!!!!!!

Okay so it's that time of the month, I'm additionally hungry. I forgot to bring my raisins in for my blan oatmeal. I'm hungry just need something tasty. I make a deal with myself about points, that I can get the Boston Creme bear claw but track everypoint it costs and eat within range rest of day. I take my dollar to the snack machine put it in, it spits it out, I straiginten out the dollar, I put it in, it spits it out, okay I'll try to put it in the other way, I put it in, it spits it out. I try one last time I put it in it spits it out. Well **** obviously the dang machine thinks I need to stay on plan today. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR which does nothing for my PMS needs. lol. I might be cranky today. I can't believe a snack machine can be so hurtful. lol

That stuff used to happen to me all the time. I'd want Sonic really, really badly. In the middle of the afternoon I'd pull up, drive to one of the little stations, push the button....and nothing. I'd push again. Nothing.

I took it as a sign it wasn't meant to be and just drove away...

Oooh, I know the feeling, especially when I want chocolate! LOL! But step away from the vending machine! It can't be good!

When I think of it, I like to pack chocolate chips when I go to work. I can count them out as a very small portion and it generally does the trick. Of course, I'm also the crazy woman who can eat just 5 M&M's.

I started a WW friendly snack basket at work. Mostly 100 calorie packs but it covers my sweet and salty cravings! South Beath cookies are the best!

I usually have the WW 100 Calorie and 1 points foods, but just ran out yesterday. I had expected to go to the store, but I didn't get a chance to get back out of the house when I got home from work. UGGGG So now I get to suffer today!!!!! Friday is pay day so I will be stocking up again on low cal and 1 point stuff for these emergencies lol

I ate my blan oatmeal with a little sugar at 6ish... YUCK. I'm craving now. I think I still have hard boiled eggs in the fridge. Gonna go get me one. I think I'll kick the snack machine while i'm in there. lol

I had a funny thing happen similar to this just a few days ago. I was really doing well, being OP but was craving some carby goodness. People always bring treats to share and leave them in the break room. I saw that someone had brought chocolate brownies with vanilla frosting. I was so giddy with excitement that when I grabbed one, I dropped it right on the floor frosting.side.down! I'll be honest, had it been dry side down, I'd have eaten it but it the beautiful homemade frosting was smeared with floor dust, hair and general ick!

I laughed and took it as a sign too. I picked it up, wiped up the floor, grabbed my little bag of baby carrots and left it at that! I don't know if I believe in coincidences, I like to believe that these things are really meant to be. Nice to think that God actually intervenes in little ways like this. I need all the help I can get!

The other night we were snowed in and even though I had some food in the house that I liked - DH wasn't "in the mood" for it and ordered a pizza. While waiting for the pizza, I ate a little bit, but not much because my stomach started feeling queasy. Strange timing! I was thankful because I didn't want to eat it and didn't have to try very hard to say no.

I am not sure if this is the thread for this and I am sorry if I offend anyone, but I truly feel as if God and my guardian angels are looking after me and cheering me on through this journey!! When things like that happen, I see it as my Mother pushing gently and saying, "That stuff isn't good for you - it won't make you happy. Let me help you say no."

I can imagine the frustration but do think it was just as well it happened. Even if you tracked the points, you'd be cutting a huge chunk out of the healthy and nutritious food you otherwise get to eat.
