For the past 10 years or so - every morning, I've written down five things for which I am grateful. Most days it's easy. Some days, not so easy. But, it always puts things into perspective. No matter how good or bad things seem to be - there are always things to be grateful for.
Surviving my first day back at work after a year away from the classroom!
My bento box filled with delicious, low point food
My DH for driving 45 minutes each way to pick me up after work
Sausages
My lovely big ceramic water jug on my desk at work
That I survived another bout of depression on my rollercoaster.
That I went to the dentist and had my teeth cleaned last week.
That my sons are healthy and my middle boy got an attendance award last week for not missing any school, though he's home sick today.
That my husband and I are connecting again.
That I have homemade soup at home for lunch.
- That I woke up this morning a pound lighter!
- That I have a darling boyfriend that has been amazing helping me to lose weight.
- That I feel energetic, happy, ready to hit the gym then tidy up at home afterwards
- I feel so grateful that we are finally getting to go on holiday to Venice this weekend!
- I'm grateful to this site and everybody on it. I wouldn't have lost this weight so far without it
for my 3 beautiful kitties who love me even when I don't love myself
for my wonderful husband, ditto
for 30 Rock, which makes me hoot
for the half hour spent cooking, and reconnecting, with my husband this evening
for cous cous
- my sister got through her back surgery well. The doctor was pleased & felt he could address her two problem areas. It will be a long recovery - but, now there is some hope of her being out of chronic pain. I am so grateful.
- I stayed on my plan yesterday - my willingness to keep trying - I am grateful.
- my friend, Cathy Jo, is coming over for tea today.
- my son is doing well
- internet - such a wonderful way to stay in touch with people
