I've been a bit of a stranger...big life changes and other things...but I am proud to say that in the midst of the craziness, I've managed to stay within four pounds of my end-of-2009 goal. I really would like to hit that Onederland before my birthday (June 14) though. If I go back to my goal of one pound a week, I can blow it out of the water before then.

At the moment, I'm so po' I can't afford the o and the r. I have eaten pretty much just peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and apples for a week. Payday is tomorrow, though (HIP HIP HOORAY!!!!), so I will be able to stock up on fruits and veggies. (Esp. veggies...my diet has really suffered because fresh veggies are so freakin' expensive!!!!)

So that's my goal: a pound a week to Onederland by my birthday.

Way to go! It's so hard staying on plan when life gets crazy, so it's extra awesome that you've done so well!!!! I'm sure you'll be in onderland way before your birthday!!!!

I think it is beyond awesome that you can maintain during craziness. That means when you hit your goal..... you have a jump start on how to maintain.

I hope you get to have the "o and r" this week..... and then go from poor to comfortable! I think for most of us, we would like to be rich..... but comfortable is good.

Good Luck, and again, I commend you!

I have been having a po streak too. I usually get mostly frozen veggies - cheaper than fresh and still more nutritious and tasty than canned. I still get some fresh, stuff that's on sale or I can't find in frozen and must have (spaghetti squash). I also get beans and lots of chicken and tilapia (a tasty white fish that is usually quite cheap).

Congrats to you for maintaining through it!
