I do think it's an adjustment process for some people....especially when you do it suddenly. I have heard of a product called Beano that is sold at Trader Joe's. I'm not sure if it would help, but I know it helps a lot of people and is supposed to be all natural (please check the label for yourself).

It should pass over time. Maybe you could try eating more steamed veggies and less raw...more cooked veggies...even fruit that is cooked like a baked apple instead of raw. Sometimes raw can be a bit harder on the tummy.

Have you changed anything else in your diet? I sometimes can have tummy problems from increasing dairy products or beans or hummus (garbanzo beans), or barley, etc. so just make sure it's not that as well.

I hope you feel better soon!

I don't have snack ideas for 100 calories. I do like to have egg whites with veggies (1/2 cup of eggwhites is only 60 calories and I fry it up with lots of veggies). I also like the Dannon yogurt for 60 calories and I mix it up with some Kashi cereal for 70 calories. I also have organic chicken hot dogs that are only 70 calories and sometimes, I'll just eat one of those.

Some people have fruit allergies. Maybe, if you never really ate fruits before, this is part of the issue? That's pretty extreme, though.

It could be the sudden dose of so much fibre.

I actually have much LESS gas now that I'm watching what I eat. Definitely try eating fewer raw fruits and veggies and see if that helps. Some people have trouble digesting raw veggies ebcause, when they were young, they always ate everything very cooked.

Campbells has a soup that is really low sodium, I think it's called Select Harvest and I am eating the southwest veg. flavor and it''s only 50 calories per cup.

I think your issues are definitely related to the sudden increase in fiber that you are taking in. The same thing happened to me when I began dramatically increasing my fiber intake. I've had success using Gas-X during these times. But soon your body should adjust to the extra fiber, and this issue should "pass" .

I had the same trouble and the probiotic yogurt has fixed it. But oh how I hate yogurt. YUK And it didn't work over night.

I have the same problem! I think I will try the probiotic yogurt since Beano or Gas-X have not helped me much. I know it will get better since I've been through this before, but it really is the pits in the meantime!

This is going to sound like a weird question, but how much good fat are you eating?

I find when I cut back on fat too much it tends to mess with my digestive system.

I can relate …same problem with me. I am cycling calories and have low cal /day from Mon – Thu and during those days I don’t eat apples, bananas, orange, any cabbage, cucumber etc, except spinach with olive oil and tomato with avocado. I can only eat my vegetables and fruits during the weekend when my calories intake higher.
