Hi, guys! I am jumping back on the calorie counting bandwagon and was looking for other people that have just started or will be starting soon. I was kind of hoping that maybe we could turn this into a chat/support thread for each other.
I have no support in real life so I will visit this board frequently. I tried to do this back in the summer and failed bad. But, I am commited this time.
I just started about four days ago so I'm a newbie! I did link my fitday to my 3FC account, but I click ont he link and it doesn't work....so I don't know what's going on.
I'm a total newbie here too! I'm wondering if I can ever reach my goal weight, and worried that I will lose resolve or something, but right now I am determined to make healthy food choices each day and exercise each day and post here, and I'll see where that will take me. Hopefully we all will be successful in the end! This seems like a great board and there seems to be so much support and encouragement and knowledge here.
I am happy to join you too! I started counting Monday and journalling in my notebook. I like to write things done instead of using the internet. That's just me. SO far this week it has been going good. Now it is the weekend, I need to stay strong. Weekends are hard.
Yay, I am so glad that others will join me! I know that we can do it! Things are always easier when you have others cheering you on. I feel really good about this time. I am going to just take it one day at a time.
New- or rather restarting! I am doing a 2 day water fast before I start my real diet and exercise program (chose to do the fast on the weekend so not to be too cranky at work during the week).
The worst part of dieting is hearing from the doctor that if i just drank some water before eating that it would be relatively easy for me. I HATE water. *crinkles nose* So, I am gonna just need to suck it up and drink some water. I am hoping the two day water fast will not only clean me out of all the nasty toxin, but get me more comfortable with drinking it regularly.
Calorie counting is the best way for me to go because it allows me some structure and accountability without forcing me to eat things I don't much care for like many other diet programs. Plus, for me it allows me to manage a realistic plan to continue life long once I do lose the weight.
I am here right along with you.I am a newbie here to the site. I started South beach about 7 days ago. But that don't matter. We are all here together got one reason. That is support and great friends. I am sure you will be successful. Good Luck. Talk to ya soon
Hi everybody, I am just starting again too. I lost 60 pounds 2 years ago on Nutrisystem and was married last April and gained half of it back. I am going to try and do this by calorie counting and staying away from refined sugar. It is great to see so many others out there who understand what everyone is going through. Good look everyone!
I will definitely join you! I lost 25 pounds and was at my goal weight this spring, summer, and into fall, but then I hit seasonal depression time and have gained some back. I never did reach the new goal I had set for myself, but I am determined to do it before spring/summer hits again! Calorie counting is the only way I have lost weight before. I will be using livestrong.com to track my calories while I am travelling for work, but I love pen and paper for times when I don't have access to the internet.
Count me in! I started on New Years Day and have lost 9 lbs so far; but have a very long way to go. I have been journalling everything I eat, going to WW for support, but counting calories instead of using their pesky points. I do try to follow their suggestions for filling foods because I think they're just healthier in general. I also downloaded a bunch of their recipes to try and cook a little bit healthier and get out of my rut of eating the same old (fattening) things.
