Default personal trainer NSV!!!

So, I'm just back from my first session with a personal trainer.

I had a GREAT TIME, but the uber best part of it was that I could tell she was surprised by how strong I was. All that swimming has really paid off.

I'm so excited to be entering a new phase of my fitness.

I'm glad you finally got set up with her! It's great that it was such a good experience. And swimming is no joke! Of course she was impressed.

Yay! I'm so glad you're doing this!

Fat chicks are strong chicks because we've been lugging so much weight around for so long. It's like all-day weightlifting! And it means that we can kick the butts of everyone else in the gym. Woohoo!

You are going to LOVE your results!

YAY! I love the "fat chicks are strong chicks" logo. True. So true.

And I'm naturally a strong chick anyway-- was even when I wasn't fat.

But it was just this amazing feeling. I did not tell her that I've recently lost (almost) seventy pounds, but I kept thinking about the stuff I was doing-- getting on and off a ball, getting up and down from the floor... simple stuff that required no effort, except that sixth months ago, each of those things would have been a struggle.

Instead, I felt powerful and jocky-- it's SUCH a rush!

wow, that sounds great! I'm glad you're liking the trainer. I thought I was stronger than I was when I first started working with one (I don't work with him any longer). I built up my upper body strength by quite a bit, and I'm so glad I did that. I didn't tell him about my weight loss either (even though he told me he'd lost 30 to 40 lbs). I agree swimming is a great exercise.

Uber, don't be shy about telling your trainer about your weight loss. It's important information about your physical condition and it's going to impress the heck out of her! She'll be thrilled to know that she has a client with a proven track record of dedication and hard work. For a trainer, the greatest reward is teaming up with a motivated and disciplined client, who she can count on to commit to a program and follow through. You are a personal trainer's dream, so be sure to share!

OK. I'll tell her next time. I wasn't really shy per se, it just didn't really come up. But I was very excited because she was asking me to do things that seemed hard and then I tried them and they weren't that bad.

I was expecting to be asked to do stuff that seemed easy, but turned out to be hard.

I don't really measure the change in my fitness from all the swimming I've done, but boy can I feel the difference when I try to do other things!!!
