Default With-It Wednesday Chat

Good morning, all! That's right, it's 1:55 a.m. and I'm still awake. I don't even want to think about what this afternoon at work is going to be like!

Chelby: I'm glad you had a better day yesterday!

Cyndi: I think I may steal your post-it idea and actually do it. My boss is so passive that even if he noticed it, he wouldn't say anything. Maybe I can change the wording a bit so he's not directly implicated.

I had my yearly Pap yesterday and everything seems fine, which is good. Doc had my blood taken, though, to test my testosterone levels again to see if my PCOS symptoms are back. She's also doing thyroid tests and diabetes screenings. It'll be good to know what's going on with all of that. She told me today that she wants me to lose 60 lbs. by the time I see her next Jan., which I felt was a good omen, since my goal for all of 2010 is a 60-lb. loss. I'm working on stepping up my workouts and being much more conscious of my eating. I bought a new food/fitness journal online to log everything in. I'm very guilty of being an inattentive eater, so writing it all down should help. I know what I need to lose, but it's still tough to take from a medical professional. I came home a bit depressed, but I'm just going to move on and keep with it. No depressed munching for me!!

Well, I'm sure others will be posting along soon. I'm going to go lay down again to see if I can sleep. Good night, all!

Good morning It really is morning here (sort of). I was up when you were Kim, but it was my middle of the night stress out. Luckily I got back to sleep. Hope you maximized the rest of the night

Thought I'd stop by before my morning yoga today. Just enjoying my very first cup of coffee. there's something special about that first one, every day

No core workout for me yesterday. The PT is reviewing the DVD first to make sure it's all good or develop modifications. I love her. She's the first person I've worked with who is taking my whole back into account and developing a workout plan for me. Everyone else looks at one piece and doesn't look at the interactions. I think this will really be good for me.

Just another office day. I'm working on not letting it get to me but not doing great with that. The bfh is up to something again but I don't know what. Lots of closed door meetings and secrecy. I so hate that crap. AH well, gotta remember that stuffing my face isn't going to help and just keep on keeping on.

Okay, time to plan out the day, feed the cats (first!) and get Wii'ing

Good day to all

Good morning Kim! Hope you got more sleep after you posted that! Good for you for spinning the visit for the positive, it sounds like your making some healthy changes. I'm sure you'll keep us posted!

Apparently, I need to go read the rest of yesterday's posts and find out what the post it's are for....

Me- up for coffee before the treadmill. I apparently woke up the DD on Monday for it, so I skipped yesterday while trying to find reasonably priced wireless headphones...guess I'll have to order them. Today will be the iPod with some station on mute...not nearly as interesting!

I won't tell you about my food porn...although my breakfast and lunch were fine (leftover black beans and rice...yum!). We moved the fridge and oven into the dining are again, since the linoleum goes in today!! Tomorrow are cabinets!!

Off to read yesterday's posts!

Simulpost, Cyndi - yes. The work thing. I stuffed my face a bit last week because of that...and it didn't help!! I am off to feed my kitties too before getting on the treadmill, otherwise there will be rebellion!

Hey ladies! I'm late to the party today. Had trouble sleeping again (when will Aunt Flo get here already!!) but I'm up at at em now. Drinking coffee and eating a cheese stick! Seems like a lot of us are suffering work stress. I said yesterday I was going to do a post about that...maybe I will do it today. Check in with you all later!

Good morning ladies!

I'm rushing, running a little bit late. I popped in earlier but got distracted so I came back to leave a quick hello while the car is warming up.

It's Wednesday but feels like it ought to be Friday me. I stopped in my classroom on the way home last night and found a really upbeat, positive note from the sub - but the room was trashed, there were broken toys on my desk and a message on my voice mail from a parent.... I'm thinking this sub had just the right temperament for my classroom, even if her management skills need a little more developing. I'm not sure what stories I'll hear today, but the good news is I'll be back in the classroom. I much prefer that to meetings and trainings anyway.

Kim, I'm sorry you couldn't sleep, but it sounds like you've got some great plans for 2010. I'm excited about watching/hearing your successes.

Hi Cindy, it sounds like you've got a great PT. I'm glad you found her. Hope things go smoothly for you today.

Twynn, new floor today, eh? Remember - you promised us some pics when things are finished! Have a great on plan day.

Good to see you today Janet! I remember my daughter's "master thesis madness" - we wondered if she'd dropped off the face of the earth for a couple of weeks. Good luck to you!

Good morning Linda and Mmckellen! And a good morning to those to come. Enjoy your Wednesday friends!

Good morning all!

Kim - I once had an obviously overweight doctor tell me mine was fine... when I clearly needed to lose. I switched doctors! Hard to hear but nice to know they are paying attention. Your plan sounds great.

Cyndi - Enjoy yoga. I have to check out that Wii someday.

Twynn - My husband blares the TV so loud when he works out that the floor above vibrates! Have a good workout.

Good morning Cottage. I can never keep up. There weren't too many posts yet today so I thought I might actually be able to handle individual greetings for once

Janet - Nice to meet you. Germany - wow!

MmcKellen - Trouble sleeping here too. Sigh.

Heidi - Hopefully your little kids have not yet learned how the older ones treat subs! I bet they'll be happy to have you back today.

Today I have cycling and am planning to stay for pilates after. I haven't done that in years (at my former gym). Afternoon meeting with DS and school college counselor. Hopefully I can keep from getting too frustrated when she tells us all the stuff we already know. Hopefully DS can pretend he likes her since she is the one who will someday write his college recommendation! Time to sit down and plan meals for the next several days; then shop.

I'm back with my 2nd latte and rearin' to go!

Kim, thanks for starting us up, albiet a tad early! I hope you finally were able to get some sleep! It sounds like you have a Plan for 2010 and are setting yourself up for success!

Cyndi, that's great that you found such a thorough, caring trainer to work with! That's sad and scary about the state of affairs at work, but at least you're hanging in there, and I hope it's all resolved in a good way soon.

Twynn, I can't wait to see pictures of your new kitchen! It sounds like it's moving along smoothly!

Janet, it's good to hear from you! I've wondered where you were, and good luck with the thesis madness!

Mmc, I hope you have a stress-free day today!

Heidi, I'm glad your meetings and training is over so you can get back to your classroom and students today. I bet they all really missed you!

It's supposed to be warmer and sunny here the next several days, and I'm looking forward to getting outside and soaking up some of the sunshine. I can't believe it's the middle of the week already! Nothing exciting is on the schedule today except for guitar lessons, so I'm going to spend the morning having tea and a chat at Richard's parent's house. I know Susie will offer her famous scones, but I feel confident enough at this point to not be tempted by them.

Wow! What a lot of chirping this morning! I'll be back later as I'm on track for the gym right now.

Nothing on the agenda today aside from gym - I still haven't gone to town for a shop. That'll happen tomorrow when I have to go for a haircut anyhow. I'm hoping to finish the tricky sashing on my current quilt top and start something more fun.

Another quiet and peaceful day with just the doggage and me. I hope yours is the same.

Morning everyone

Kim I hate it when I can't sleep. Glad you can turn the dr appt into the positive. Ineed to make an appt. for mine.

Cyndi- Ugghh about bfh. I hope it all works out.

Twynn just a little jealous about the all new kitchen. I can't wait till hubby retires and we buy a house!!

Heide Can it be Friday? I am ready for Friday!!!

MMC Hope ur day gets better. Sorry about the no sleep. PMS is awful!

Ruth sounds like a nice peaceful day.

ME- I am tired today. Today is day 5 of phase 1. I was trying to explain this woe to my hubby who is tall a slim. He has gained some weight but he still looks good. He might be like 10-20 pounds overweight. He has never had to worry about what he ate and can give up soda for a week and lose weight. So he just doesn't understand what it is like. He's like why not just eat in moderation instead of avoiding what you are craving. I kinda blew up because I was tired and slightly hungry and a lot moody. I said if I could eat in moderation I wouldn't be overweight. I said when I want chococlate I don't just want one snickers I want 3 and when I want chips I don't just want an handful I want the whole bag and then maybe another bag. This way of eating gives me control. I like the fact that I have a list of what I can eat and a list of what I can't eat.

Sorry I didn't mean to ramble on, but I know most of you if not all of you might understand. He usually is very supportive, but he just doesn't get it.

Chirp
Kim, thanks for starting us up and keeping us motivated to stay on track. I'm on the run this AM, just stopped to say Hi. I need to make some tough business decisions today, and I'm not excited. Regret to say I was up with alot of the early chickies, but wasn't too chatty.

I've been trying to focus on things I do have control over; staying OP and completing some of the chores that need to be done so I can head back to funderland. I'm taking the decorations off the tree and ought to get to work soon.

ETA-Tammie, don't ever feel like you can't come here and vent. Our families and friends who don't experience compulsive overeating just don't understand. When I have a day like today, I just want to eat it away-but what I really want is to be slender-and that takes staying OP.

everyone!

Best wishes to everyone today!

Good Morning chickies!

Kim- you sure were up early(or late!) with that said I hope you have a pleasant non grumpy day ;0) 60lbs is my goal as well! Isn't it funny how we want it but if someone else tells us it kind of hurts? us women and our emotions! lol Im back to blogging my food as well... where did you find your journal? I may need one of those!

Cyndi- your PT sounds awesome! Weve got all that closed door crap as well... Hope your stress level goes down with the Wii exercises!

Twynn- Yeay for new flooring!

Janet, MCM,Wastingtime

Heidi- I hope you still feel the same way about your sub after you talk to the class Have a good day!

Cottage- here is some for those scones! and sunshine is great- but what is the temp??? you're a better woman than I getting out in the cold! I like to enjoy the sun in front of my window! lol

Ruth- enjoy your quiet day and the gym!

Tammie- tell him that is exactly what you are doing- Think about it... you aren't eating the things that you will crave more of. like simple carbs- all that you described! and you are eating in moderation on this plan-because the food you are eating doesn't cause cravings!

Debbie- here is some for you too- for staying OP and for your chores ;0)

As for me, work work work, then off to the hospital to visit my friend. Her bariatric surgery yesterday went well and she is resting! Going to take her DH some dinner and visit a bit after work. I apparently have the shopping bug, or had it yesterday. Shopped all day and then last night did some online shopping! and I am saving money right now so I don't know what my deal is! I just wanted to get a couple things for Vegas but found some really great deals. especially online at fashionbug... ended up with a couple new pairs of shoes too! I did get some new cooking stuff as well... 2 new pyrex measuring cups and a nice WOK! yeay! I have never had a wok believe it or not- so everything got cooked in it last night. lol I also bought a dress and I think I will wear it to work today- everyone will be shocked I am sure- I never wear dresses! ok, I am rambling on... thats what extra coffee does I suppose ;0)

Hope you chickies have a great OP day!

Tammie - I totally empathize. I cannot do moderation. My husband has touted willpower and moderation for years but is overweight himself. Ha! I can't get him to not bring food into the house. He will buy chips for our DS and proceed to eat the whole bag. What is it with men?

Ruth - since I can't PM yet I left you a comment on my blog. Meanwhile, have a great day

Good morning Debbie and Rikki.

Rushing to eat before the gym. Ugh... another morning of refried beans with cheese on top.
