Question Benefiber possibly TMI LOL

Ok, so in a normal world where I eat all the junk and or good food I want I get constipated. So, on this woe I have in the past and am currently experiencing constipation.

Can I take the benefiber tablets and do you think it would be safe just to take it daily while on phase 1? I hate the uncomfortable feeling of feeling gassy and bloated. But I don't want to over do the benefiber and get the opposite of constipation.

What do you think?

Tammie

I think you should continue to take any and all medical related pills, vitamins and supplements that you were previously taking. All the veggies can really back you up as well so some laxative tea or epsom salt (just a tiny bit in water) can really help.

I'd take that one pill- or look for some veggies with more fiber in them- cauliflower is one I love

I take sugar free metamucil (cvs brand) every night. Even with the veggies, with the lower fat level and no whole grains yet I would be stopped up, a feeling I detest. The metamucil works for me.

I would evaluate your diet before deciding to take them... I had an issue once with too much fiber- believe it or not it does the same thing as not enough... SO it can go either way, I suppose fiber just regulates things...

I take fiber choice SF tablets daily, and have for years.

I double up when I'm doing phase 1 (morning dose and evening dose) because even with lots of beans and veggies my system needs a little extra help. I also make sure I drink LOTS of water and try to get a little exercise in, even if it's just a short daily walk because that helps me stay more regular too.

SF Benefiber tablets here too. They are surprisingly yummy!

I was backed up too while on Ph1. I started taking one dose (2 pills) in the AM and was gassy all day. I didn't take any yesterday and will take a dose tonight so it all gets to working in time for when I wake up, which is when I tend to have an issue.

Yay for TMI
