Default everyone's favorite diet!

The awesome soft food diet. I am getting my wisdom teeth taken out on Thursday and I have 3 days of a soft food diet. I am all stocked up on no sugar added applesauce, 60 calorie Jell-O and pudding cups, rice, and soup. And Percocets

way to plan ahead! be careful when rinsing...dont use too much pressure...you could get dry socket...ewwww...thats what happened to me...guess I used too much pressure when rinsing.. Dry socket hurts bad! Do exactly what they tell you to,. I did but nobody mentioned this to me and so now I tell everyone not to do that! Good luck!

My doctor told me after my surgery to eat oatmeal. This was the worst advice ever. Each grain of oatmeal is hard and painful to chew. You could also try protein shakes as you might start feeling low in energy.

Thanks for all the well wishes! I am pretty nervous about it; I have never been put under anesthesia when I was old enough to remember(ear tubes as a toddler). And I have recently become addicted to carrots and celery, which doesn't really fit into the soft foods category.

Eeek, I hope I don't get dry sockets!

Oh you'll be just fine. Anticipation is always the worst part of it. It ALWAYS winds up better than we think it will, which is a good thing.

All the best.

Good luck and hang in there. You can always get baby food carrots. My 12m old likes them.

I had never been put under before getting my wisdom teeth out either, thinking about them putting the needle in my hand really was the worst part of the whole thing. I don't even remember the actual process. LOL! It did hurt afterward but that's what the painkillers are for(it's not bad at all after you take them) I ate soup, applesauce and slim fast the painkillers made me kinda loopy so eating wasn't a top priority

Also I took the percocet every few hours for a few days, the first day I stopped taking them I got really sick to my stomach, so keep that in mind if you have to go to work or something. Good Luck!!!
