Lightbulb Feet shrinking?

Can your feet actually shrink?

I have tried on two pairs of heels that used to fit me really well and now they are too big and i can hardly keep them on while i walk....i didn't think feet could shrink.

has anyone else had this happen?

I don't know about shrinking, but I guess some of the fat gets at the feet, so you lose it from there too? Or maybe by exercising and losing weight your cyrculation is better, thus they get and feel leaner.

Feet shrinking? Heck ya. Why not? Mine had plenty of fat on them. I went down a couple of sizes and widths.

I lost weight from everywhere, which is a good thing, since I had fat everywhere. No place was safe. I had to give away hats. They fell to the middle of my face. Even my earlobes lost weight. There wasn't one thing that didn't.

yup - the width of your feet can decrease as well when there's less weight on them

Yes. I need to replace all my shoes, they're all about a half size too big, making it *really* awkward to walk. They slip fully off of my foot when I walk. At the moment, I wear two pairs of socks. Ugh.

My feet are shrinking too! 100lbs ago I was a size 9, now my feet are around an 8/8.5. It's so weird that everything has been shrinking, I've slimmed down in the oddest places. I'm just over 60% to my goal, I can't imagine what I'll look like when I'm at my goal, lol. Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one with shrinking feet.

Not that I've noticed. But maybe I haven't lost enough yet.

I have only lost 13 pounds and already I have this problem, but what a problem to have! Must be it was one of the last places the fat got stored.

I still wear a 10M, but I find the few shoes I wore often at my highest weight are too big now. I think I was gravitating toward my widest shoes.

I am literally the only person on this board that got longer feet. I do wear a narrow now though.

I have heard (from a dubious source, granted) that sometimes high impact workouts like running can make your feet get a little bigger.

As for myself, I've gone from a 6.5/7 to a 5.5/6 in shoes, and I'm buying regular width instead of wide these days. The selection still sucks because my feet are so small, but at least I'm used to it!
