My December goal is REALLY ambitious! My friend and I signed up for a half-marathon. It's in February and my goal is to be able to walk the entire 13 miles. This week I plan to walk/jog four days a week, four miles a day, and then increase my daily mileage every week until I can walk/jog 8 miles by December 31.

Jogging is my favorite form of exercise, so I'm looking forward to the challenge!

My December goal is to exercise at least 6days a week. I am using the 30day Jillian Michaels Shred and I add 20-25 minutes of cardio as well. Usually on weekdays I'm good, but the weekends kill my motivation. Good luck everyone!

encelia,

Awesome goal! Have you tried the Jeff Galloway run/walk training? I did a full marathon in 2001 and his method is great for building up to a long distance.

Lightbulb Lets get it started

Im new to this 3FC but Im diggin' it so far. I went to the doc yesterday cuz I have been suffering from headaches and eye twitching and he said I am fatigued and I couldnt figure out why. Well maybe its because I am inhaling crap for food and no excercise. Up until a month ago I was taking taekwondo and felt great. Then I had to take a break for my daughter's cheerleading. So now here I am 170 pounds at 5'4" and not happy with myself. Thankfully some co-workers talked me into taking a spin class today at lunch and it was awesome. I am just trying to stay motivated. Im up for anything. I have suffered with fattiness my entire life and come from a long line of fatties! I was raised on homemade tortillas and beans. Go figure. I just need an overhaul.

Default Goal for December

My goal is to pull out the Wii Fit and start doing at least 20 minutes a day of aerobics, with a few more minutes of Yoga and strength training. I've managed to do this for a few days and hope to keep it up.

I know it doesn't sound like much but compared to the nothing I was doing before it is good. It will also build me up so I can stand longer bouts of exercise; as it is running for 5 minutes in place winds me (sad!!). Hopefully that will change.

Angela-don't down play where you start. We start where we start and we work to get stronger. I started my journey years ago ago at 260lbs and walking my dog 20 minutes a day. Today, I'm 179.8lbs and just finished up Jillian Michaels DVD No More Trouble Zones (40 minuite circuit style old school mat work w/3lb weights) and Biggest Loser's WeightLoss Yoga Level 1(20min + 5 min cooldown). Be patient and do not forget to celebrate the small successes along the way.

My goal is to use the treadmill at least 6 days per week for 30-40 mins. I have been getting in 30 minutes easy but I have just recently decided I need to go at least 40 minutes.

Then right after the treadmill I go upstairs and use my ab roller and do my leg exercises and within the past month I added the plank back into my routine. That is an amazing abdominal exercise. I started out where I would shake terribly after holding it for about 30 seconds but now I am up to about 70 seconds before I stop. My goal is to hold it for at least 100 second by the end of Dec!

I need new sneakers because the ones I have now are no good but when I get them then I want to really get back into jogging on the treadmill. I want to so badly at times when I am on it but if I do it hurts my legs because I don't have the correct sneakers so I just walk at 3.8 on a varying incline.

I thought it would be a good idea to get in here and set some goals. My goal is to just start doing some exercise! It has been a few weeks since I have done any real workout, I have been quite sick though too so I have an excuse haha. I want to start doing my karate again a few times a week along with running and strength training. And throw some elliptical in there too lol. I think just to start out I want to do karate, running, and strength training 3 times this week.
