Question Back Injury, nerve damage, and mobility issue

I am new here and I need to exercise I know to get this weight off once and for all. I need suggestions on exercises I can do possibly. Any suggestions much appreciated! I have a back injury, and nerve damage in my back. It is hard to bend over, picking up things even affect the back, I can't run, and because of my mobility because of the nerve disease and damage in my back I can't walk very far it is risky to even walk alone or at all down the end of the street for me. I will have to find something I can do at home in my home. If anyone can think of something I would really appreciate it. You can also write me at [email protected] to share them I am checking emails and will be only able to once in awhile check here for messages and responses. Thanks again and keep your weight losses going.

It sounds like you obviously need to do multiple "short" spurts (10-15 minutes) of exercise. And bicycling is probably the safest option. It is extremely easy on the joints and low impact.

Currently, I'm in Physical Therapy for a lower back injury so I know exactly where you're coming from. My pt focuses on lots of stretching. Hamstrings, hips, thighs, calfs, etc. As well as some light strength training like squats, bridges, clamshell (you can google these) along with some resistance training with a band & ball. She's also begun lots of work on my balance which helps to strengthen the core. As for the bike, she started me at only 10 minutes 3x a week. After a month, I'm finally up to 15-30 mins on the days I don't have PT. I hope this helps and if you have any questions, just pm me.

Would aqua aerobics be an option? If you have physical therapist they might have more specific ideas.
