Post Thanks Ladies

Hiya everyone,

Just a quick "hello" to say thanks to everyone for your supportive words and thoughts. I am feeling better today. As most of you know, I am weaning off Celexa and going back on Paxil. I am down to 10 mg. of Celexa starting tomorrow for a week then I start at 20 mg. of Paxil next Sunday. In addition to addressing my depression and OCD issues, I am hoping my anxiety over this whole copyright infringement thing will be alleviated once my Paxil kicks in.

Otherwise, I've been so upset and anxious that I haven't been hungry. Been drinking lots and lots of water, though. Lost 2 lbs. since last Weds. Hmmmmmmmmmm....

Hope you all have a great day.

Hi all...Not much to say, but I wanted to let you know I'm still out here. I think I could use a little Paxil myself...I've just been feeling so...hmm...I'm not sure what...depressed? Not quite. Overwhelmed? Sometimes. Scared? Yes, but not sure what of. Restless? Yes, but I do nothing because I don't know what to do first. Somedays I feel as though I'm hanging on to my sanity by my fingernails. Other days I'm happily puttering around the house...enjoying the cleaning and the laundry. I know I'm very lucky. I have a great husband, and two good kids. We have a roof over our heads and plenty to eat. (hmmph...too much sometimes!) We are all healthy. Everything beyond that is gravy and I should be thankful...and I am...but...what? I feel as though I'm missing something.

I guess I just had to get that out so you don't think I'm jumping ship here or anything. I love coming here and being a part of this group. Just can't put my heart and soul into it lately, but that's because I'm in a weird place at the moment.

So, I'll still be around. You haven't gotten rid of me yet! Maybe not everyday, but I'll be here. And I'll be back in full force when I get my head straightened out.

love to all...

Red face

Ha! I was just going to write "good morning" guess I'm a little out of it.

My first day at work yesterday was just peachy - except for the fact that I sat there the entire day with a FEVER!!! I haven't felt so crappy in . . . well I can't remember in how long! Went to bed last night before 8:30 and slept until 7:30 this morning. Got up and felt even worse - so off to the clinic. Found out (lucky me) that I have Strep Throat. UGH. So . . . none of my projects for this weekend are getting done. Oh well.

Other than being sick, work was great. I'm going to like it and it won't be too hard to learn the ropes. Coming from State Farm to an independent agency there are a lot of differences in programs, quotes etc. BUT, insurance is insurance and coverages are all the same. I think it's going to be a good thing.

I still can't get those dang smilies to work. I'll have to check my browser settings, but I just haven't had the patience. Ah ha - my phone just rang, so that tells me that my isp kicked me off (once again) that could be the problem!

As much as I'd like to take time for personal replies, I can't. My bed is calling me again and I can't disappoint it. I'm thinkin' that the ibuprofen bottle is gonna need to lose some tablets, too.

Hope everyone has a better weekend than me! Love to all!

Gee ... I can't believe so few posted today.

Lisa.. I hope you get feeling better soon.
I will love and accept you even though you are a DREADED INSURANCE SALESMAN. I HATE insurance 'companies'. I know they are great if you have a HUGE claim... but I also think they will drain you dry. LOL

Barbg... so glad your niece is home and doing well.
I too am shocked this week has passed. I am glad I have another week. LOL
Actually.. I have until Wed... that is when we leave on vacation.
My goal for vacation is to still lose another 2 lbs. If I have my goal to be to maintain... I will probably gain giving myself permission to go off "just a little" everyday. Well... if this is a change of life and lifestyle... then I need to change. If I change... then I will lose.

Lucky... you certainly do have stress.
Take the time to relax and breathe deeply.
LIfe will always have stress for us off and on. Now is as good of a time as ever to learn how to live with it rather than stress over it.
Relaxation therapy... deep breathing.. meditation .... they all take a conscious effort on our part. You can do it... YOU ARE WORTH IT.

When my kids were little the ONLY place I could be alone was when I locked myself into the bathroom. LOL My kids would knock on the door and want to come in. LOL
I would put the lid down on the toilet and take deep breaths in and think "peace in" ... and then blow out and think "stress out".
IN ... Peace in....
OUT ... Stress out.
I would repeat it several times. Then I would unlock the door and see my two little girls sitting there waiting on me... asking "what you are doing in there mommy?"
The causes of stress changes daily... but with practice you can learn how to let it go.

Okay... I gotta go. Hope to find more here in the morning.

Hey everyone

I think my post got lost in the shuffle of things yesterday. No one noticed my WI report for the week. Instead of pouting (have to admit, that was my first response), I'm going to toot my own darn horn!

As of last Friday, I have lost 49.5 lbs. 1/2 lb. more to that 50 goal! Also, those 2 lbs. lost brought me down into the 80's. Wow! Seems like so long since I've been there. Keeping up with the 2 lb. challenges, I should be in the 70's before the year is out. Now that is a seriously cool thought!

Can't help doing a bit of counting my chickens before they hatch, or maybe it is the number cruncher inherent in me, but keeping to the challenges all through next year leaves me dangerously close to leaving the 200's completely. I'm seeing serious incentive here to keep on doing what I'm doing and what is working for me.

I'm a no sleep girl, so heading to bed now.
Love you all!

Andria

Oh Andria.... I am sooooooooo sorry I missed your SUCCESS !!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS !!!!

WOWZA !!!! 50 lbs !!!!! What an accomplishment !!!!!
You just go to prove... if you keep at it ... the weight will come DOWN !!!!
I am sooooo PROUD of you !!!!!

I hope everyone knows that we are proud of everyone who keeps on keeping on. It is hard to find the time to keep up with life and these boards.. so if we ever miss something please feel free to 'gently' remind us.

I am just peeking in this morning. I have a LOT to do to get ready for my vacation !!! I just got an empty box to fill up with stuff to take to my daughter. Not to mention the crap I want to take for ME. LOL

I am sure I will be back here later when I need another break. LOL
Oh... by the way... did you hear who WON the game yesterday?

Way to go, Andria!!! Woot woot!

A fine example of perseverence paying off! Please continue to be the great role model that you are!

Even with LITTLE OR NO SLEEP!

Hi, to all...I'm on my way out. Daughter and I are off to NY to see Mandy Patinkin in concert on Broadway. Love him!

See? I can't stay away from here for long. You know...it really is helpful to come here to read about others' triumphs and to encourage those who may need a little boost...in doing so, you give yourself a little boost...I know I do!

So don't stay away for long, if you haven't been around. Even if you feel that you haven't much to say, a few encouraging words are sometimes all it takes to help others and yourself. Or just tell us what you're doing today!

Gotta run...have a great day all...what's left of it!

Post Here's To Losing Things We Don't Want to Find!!! lol

Way to go Andria!!!

"Roses are red, violets are blue
Andria's lost 50 lbs
And we all will too!"

Sorry I haven't posted before now, but I had a ton of trouble accessing the site this a.m., so I am giving it another go.

I made pumpkin chili yesterday, no beans, all veggies and hamburger. It's yummy and filling. I found it online. I'll try to find time to copy and paste it into the recipe section. Otherwise, made it to Curves 3 times last week...first time since August. Am back on track, though. Been drinking lots of water.

Does everyone else have tomorrow off for Columbus Day holiday?? I am looking forward to being home with DH and baby.

Well, guess that's it for now. Take care all.

Hey everyone

That turned out to be a fairly short nap. Going to try eating something and going back to bed after a short visit in the waking world. Sometimes that works?

Kat, Mandy Patinkin? That sounds so cool! I have yet to get out that direction and visit my sis in Connecticut. Every time you mention the city, I remember what a good idea it would be. Have a great time with your daughter! Thanks for the grats. And I've used the boost someone else up method to elevate my own mood more times that I would like to admit. You are right, it does work.

2cute, Thank you Your daughters are so lucky to have such a devoted mom. I honestly wish I had that kind of relationship with my mother. And, let's see... who won the game yesterday? You think we didn't notice? 2cute's Sooners, of course!

BarbG, glad the surgery went well for your niece. At her age, recovery ought to be really fast.

Thin, I'm with Barb, what hotel? Adam, Tony and I used to explore a new casino every trip to Vegas, and we always try to stay in a different one the night before Tony flies home. Shopping for room deals there can be so much fun. You never know what is going to show up. Once it was a 5 star hotel for $50 a night. The place was Hello! posh.

Lucky, I hate rashes! Hope it is feeling better by now. Hope the stress relief shows up as well. I get hives when I am that stressed... yuck!

I'm not trying to ignore anyone on purpose, but it is getting harder to type. Words I didn't plan to type are showing up on the screen. Guess that is a sign to try and head back to bed.

Andria

Talking

Hey chickies! Guess what works now for me today Was that enough hints?? I changed the security setting for my browser and now I'm able to access these. So, hopefully that will take care of the problem.

I'm feeling much better today I'll tell you I felt like death warmed over yesterday. My dh, such a sweetie, said to me "I won't tell you this often, but you looked like sh$% yesterday." Gee, thanks hon. But, that's how I felt!

Lucky - hope your rash is gone. I get a twitch in my left eye when I get stressed. Looking forward to this weekend!!!!!! As far as exercise, doesn't all that work outside count for something?! If it tires us out as much as it does, you'd think that it should count . . .

BarbG - glad to hear that your neice is doing well.

2Cute - salesMAN?! Ahem, the last time I checked, I had myself a good pair of hooters (course there are some men who have those, too aren't there ).

Andria - Way to go on your big loss! I'm so excited for you!! Woo Hoo!!!!!

kat - hope you had fun in NY!

Chris - pumpkin chili?! Now that sounds different - you must find the recipe and post it.

Well, that's all the replies since my last post so I better scoot. I'm being the at home today - making my girls actually do house work. What a terrible mom, huh. WHATEVER! I haul their butts around to enough practices, lessons, parties etc and wait and wait and wait. They are still part of this house and they can pitch in, right?! And, I dare either one of them to complain . . .

Okay, I'm off my about housework. Gotta go make supper - Acorn squash, Turkey mignon on the grill and green beans - yum! My throat is still pretty sore, but I think I'll be able to eat okay.

'Til next time . . . love to all!
