Default Feel alone 325 lbs binge emotional eater

Hi I think i am going to bear my soul. I am in such a pickle with my life. My weight is out of control. I lost 50 lbs-65 lbs 3 times with slimming world. I suffer with serve mental health problems ( been hospitalized 10 times in 5 years ranging from 2 week stays to 5 month stays in psychiatric hospitals) all they have done in hospital is put me on anti psychotics and I gain so much weight. First went on them oct 2012 when I was 17 stone within 9 months I was 25 stone. I stopped all anti psychotic med's last oct and had lost close to 50 lbs ( give or take 3 lbs) abd got down to 300 lbs. But I am an emotional binge eater. In march I was so poorly back into a psychiatric hospital 2 weeks later out 4 days later in again and my husband of 6 years ended our realtionship. He couldn't take my mh anymore. I wrote him a letter pleading him to give me another chance so we agreed on a separation. For a year. I love him. But he said due to me changing considerably since we first met ( I was around 10 stone 140 lbs) he no longer found me attractive at this size. This has lead me into a spiral of resticking and binge eating. I am under the hospital too for 12 months to TRY and lose weight. I am on month 3 I've gained again.

They told me to cal count. So from today I am determined to do it. But I need support. Please guys?

I miss my husband and my son so much. I live with my cat. I eat to fill the empty Ness.

I have a under active thyroid ( am on thyroxine for this 125mcg) i also suffer with ME/CFS I struggle ( because of weight and ME) to do 4000 steps a day.

Today I went out with a friend and have hit 7000 steps.

I see a ME specialist she wanted me to try and increase my step's. I am a bit scares.

Anyone have any advice tips?

I am going to try and eat 1500 on week days and 1800 on weekends. Try this ( and stick to it fiNiger crossed ) but take it day by day. Can I post here daily? Xxxxx

Hi, I'm over 300lbs, too. You might want to look into the Human Gut Biome Diet. You eat certain foods that are good for your gut bacteria. Its not costly or difficult. Its the first thing that has worked for me. Google Human Gut Biome weight loss to see more. Add the word "book" to your search to see books on the subject.

First, I encourage you to heavily research any diet tips you get here, including mine. However- my suggestion would be to look into the Primal Blueprint/Paleo approach, and even consider Keto. Please check out the website MarksDailyApple, Mark Sisson is the founder of the Primal Blueprint approach (it's a variant of Paleo) and he has a brand new book out (and many recent blog posts) about Keto. I suggest this not only because a lower carb approach is very effective at causing fat loss, but also because modifying your diet to completely eschew processed foods and to reduce carbs also has a marked positive effect on anxiety, depression and other mental illnesses.

Lastly- WELCOME to 3FC! I hope you find an approach here that will work for you, and I know you will find supportive people here and that can really help.

Welcome to the site!

I see you are in England. How often are you checking your thyroid panel and are you taking name brand synthroid? I ask because sometimes when your thyroid is wonky it can contribute to depression and a host of other health issuesinckuding weight gain. The reason I ask about name brand medicine is because I know for myself I have issues when on a generic - I tend to be pretty stable with name brand and all over the place w/ generics. Even if your thyroid is off but not horribly - I’d ask your doctor about such. Also make sure you add a good endocrinologist to help you with the the monitoring. Sure GPs can help but I’ve always had extra confidence with my endo as they have a lot more specific things to try and/or look at. Too if you do have an endo, sometimes it helps to be referred to a dietician at least for 1-3 meetings. They can help you with a plan, help you w learning serving sizes etc. I benefitted having met w/ one when I was last pregnant and dealing with gestational diabetes. Sometimes just simple help can make a world of difference to your journey.

Good luck to you there are a lot of helpful people on this site so post away.
