Default New here!

Hi everyone! I am so glad to have found this place! I am starting my weight loss journey (again). I lost 50 pounds last year and gained it back then some. Starting over and more determined to keep it up. I have a walking buddy and we have been walking 2.5-3 miles 5 days a week. In the last two weeks I have lost pounds! Can't wait to get to know you ladies!

Congrats and welcome! How long does it take to walk about 3 miles? About an hour?

Yes, it takes us right around an hour. I take my 4 year old so there are a few stops for her to get in and out of the stroller though lol!

Oh a walking buddy sounds great, my walking buddy has no motivation and on the days when I need it can't motivate me to get up and go, so that's poop. I live along the beach (on the west coast of Scotland so its not as sunny as it might sound), but to walk from one end (where I live) to the other and back is 4.2 miles. It takes me around 1 hour and 20 mins and I burn about 1000 calories . I love to be able to work up to do it 5 times a week, but I barely do it once.

I need to find a buddy, when my sister has her baby in March, she has 1 year to look fine for her wedding in Italy, so I can imagine that she will join me then.

okay - sad confession from me... I was unable to find a walking buddy
but what I ended up doing was down loading Pokémon go to my phone .. now wander around pretending I have a friend on the phone
trying to catch Pokémon...

so yesterday did about 19,000 steps in total and today was 16,000ish

the area we live in is quite a nice place to walk so that helps too....

Welcome! A walking buddy sounds great! The closest thing I have is my three daughters. They are home-schooled, so when it is nice outside, I can take them with me and go for a walk, but they're so full of energy that most of the time they're running ahead of me climbing trees or running off doing something else. I still end up walking by myself listening to music.
