Default Will I need a seatbelt extension?

Hello everyone! I'm new here so please excuse me if this isn't posted in the right forum.

In about a week, I am flying Southwest by myself and I am very anxious...not about flying solo but because I might need a seatbelt extension! It may sound silly, but I would feel totally humiliated if I couldn't get the seatbelt buckled.

A little about me: I am 5'2", about 258 lbs, and currently wearing a size 24 jeans (consistently, but I've noticed them becoming looser lately!).

Anyway, I hope that someone can help me out and calm my nerves a bit. I'd like to know for sure either way. Thanks!

Hello! We are different heights and may caryy our weight differently, but I know when I was in a size 22/24 I did need the extension. It wasn't as embarrassing as I thought it would be but still not a thing I want to repeat.

I know that probably doesn't help your nerves. I am 5'7.5 and was about 298 at the time. But just because I needed one doesn't mean you will.

Hi!

I'm 5'11 and at the time, was 370 lbs. I wear a 24 as well. I was figuring that I would need one but was pleasantly surprised when I didn't have to ask for one. I know this probably doesn't help much but best wishes and enjoy your trip

When I was around 320+ at 5'5 (size 26/28) I didn't need one, but everyone is different because my mom who is shorter and weighed less than me did.

I'm 5'6 and 340, sometimes I need one and sometimes not, the attendant is always very discreet when I need one

Hello,
I've just flown to and back from Turkey and didn't need the extender, wasn't the comfiest fit, but it did fit. I wear a size 24 bottom too so hopefully you'll be alright, but they are always very discreet and polite if you do need one, so don't feel nervous

Hi, I needed one and I "was" 270 and a size 24. You know what I did though. I tried to go on last and as I walked in I just said to the attendant. Can you bring me an extension in case I need it. That way they just brought it to you and you didn't have to ask while your sitting down. Good luck. I know what your going through!
