Default Plus Size PFDs?

Anyone into rafting, kayaking, etc. and have recommendations on a good PFD for plus size ladies?

I'm trying to go rafting with a friend later this summer, and have just barely fit into the provided PFDs at smaller weights in the past. So I'm fairly confident that they won't have anything for a woman my current size and I will need to bring my own. A google search brought back some XXL options, but I'm concerned that even those won't fit. I'm a size 24 with 44DDD bra. I have no idea where my tape measure is to get measurements in inches... might need to buy another.

REI has some 2XL/3XL sizes that seem like they will work. Kinda pricey, but I see one for about $65. Do you have a local REI, Dick's, Eastern Mountain Sports, etc. where you could try one on? Or, order and return in store in case it doesn't fit?

One reviewer on this one says the L/XL fit her Size 18, 40DDD chest: http://www.rei.com/product/831135/mt...ns#tab-reviews. Sounds like the 2XL/3XL would work for you as it fits 46-56" in chest.

Edit: I'd imagine this is something Cabela's may carry online, as well. They have a good selection of plus sized outdoor clothing on their website so maybe PDFs too?

Thanks, noname! I went to REI today and they did not have that one in store. I tried another that was available in "plus." It fit my waist but wasn't even close to accommodating my chest. But by the size chart online, plus is only a 40-46 chest, so I think a 2X/3X should work.

I found this, http://www.sportsmansguide.com/produ...cket?a=1792071, which is a bit bulkier than a paddling-specific style like the Moxie. Given how rarely I'll be using it, the price is right, but that Moxie looks nice... The debate is on.

I was at Gander Mountain last week and they had 2x/3x vests.

I'm jealous that you're going rafting/kayaking. That has been on my to-do list for quite sometime. Have fun!
