Sorry for being MIA! I am going to make it my mission to keep up with this thread until the end of the challenge. I had a bit of a set-back last week with my WI - I didn't do anything differently, so I think it was just my body being difficult. I WI again tomorrow and things are looking better. Just realised that my 1 year anniversary of new life new plan is on Monday! Sooo will be doing my measurements, taking new pics and seeing what the scales are going to tell me ... nerve wracking lol .. I know I probably won't hit the big goal I had set myself for this date (about 218 pounds) .... but hot dawg I have gotten close and I am very proud of that ... still a ways to go now that I have adjusted my big goal to 198 pounds and then decide what I want to do (prob just learn to maintain at that point). So Im just over 30 pounds away from that ... now I am thinking forward to the next challenge .. because I am determined to get to that 200 point by my anniversary (11 December) .. then by second anniversary I will be celebrating maintaining for a year lol .. long range goals are good .. but will still keep challenging everyone so dont think that will stop

Had a very busy day today ... not so much with lots of people, just lots of work lol ... and it was good .. dont you find a busy day at work, while tiring, makes the day fly by? Happy to be home though lol .. very cold over here ... we keep waiting to see if its gonna snow lol .. but nope .. terrible storm yesterday hasn't repeated itself so that is ok.

Hunny met me after work and we went to the mall for dinner (so might tweak up a little on the scale in the morning ) .. but I just had a bowl of Don Buri .. which I do love, flavourful and filling .. hunny had curry .. hot enough to burn my nose hairs on the other side of the table .. darn man lol .. lord knows what that does to his insides when it does that to me lol.

Gotta go .. time to have a bit of a play so I can relax and have a good sleep tonight .. think I need more lol.

Mandy.. Oh gosh.. Moving with joy in your heart as you both are going to a new loving community! I hope you are getting some help and are you marking the boxes with the info?? or keeping a register list of box #'s with info listed to numbers of what are in those boxes. I have a chuckle.. I moved to Florida in 1987 and still have 3 boxes I never unpacked (stored away in my garage! ) LOL

Katt.. I love your comment about the curry burning your nose hairs LOL that was funny! and I am glad you are busy and HEY what a nice year loss. Did you ever imagine you would be here a year ago?! LOOK at you! You are a truly different person! I love your WHOOSH you got this week.. you are in the 220's! and rapidly catching me! I gotta start getting even more serious (I have been good these last 3 days - tho job hunting and feeling inadequette is a tough thing on my mind.. but I can control my food intake!) KICK my ARSE!!!

Katt - we have tons of news paper and, well, not bubble paper, but air filled plastic pockets that are great for filling empty space in a box to keep stuff from jiggling around. Also, the church has paid for a moving company to come in, drop off a container for us to load up, and then they'll come pick up the container and bring it to our new place.

Sue - Boxes are being pretty generally labeled, either with which room they go in, or with a label like "clothes" or "books"... We don't have that much stuff. We don't have enough room for it. We live in a tiny 2 bedroom apartment. Our stuff is gonna be so lost in the huge 3 bedroom house we're moving into! As far as help? It's just me and hubby packing everything up, but we live in a pretty helpful community, so when the container shows up to load, we'll have pizza.. I'll make cookies... there will be beer and water... and it'll get loaded up fairly quickly. My parents will be here, so dad will be playing furniture tetris in the moving container. He's really good at that.

Okee .. gonna try and post my pics from my FB cos I can't get my usual album to work ... this is one year in Still a way to go .. but even I am noticing changes now lol .. even my hands .. gawd I had chubby hands!!!

I think Im SEEING the changes now ... I did originally have a singlet top on .. but its FREEZING lol .. so I had to put something a little warmer on cos it takes me forever to warm up again


SUE - If I can inspire you to mush mush mush .. sweet lol .. you are my inspiration to chase so its mutual lol .. and yay on getting nearer to your lowest .. its a buzz when you get below that too ... for me every step now is my lowest cos darned if I want to go back up again .. will be ok when Im maintaining to play with the same 3-5 pounds .. but not when Im losing lol.

MANDY - How is the packing going?? Hope its all going smoothly So kewl that the church is helping with the move too

Mandy: Congrats to your hubby on the ordination! I hope you're enjoying your vacation and not too stressed about the upcoming move.

Ok! I had a NSV today. I went to Lane Bryant to check out their denim capris. I am pretty much swimming in my old ones now (size 28). There was actually a time that I could barely fit into them! So I grabbed a pair in size 26, figured what the heck and grabbed a 24 too. I bought the size 24!!! I can't remember the last time I bought a size 24 in pants. So YAY! Not only that, but they were marked down to $25.00 from $69 and change. Good deal.

For fun, here is a picture of me from 08/23/12 and then another one from this year. I think I see a difference.

MANDY - That is so exciting!! Great news .. and another step on your new journey Yay .. enjoy your break from packing too

SUE - I think my height has always been an asset with my weight ... very few people have ever believed I was the weight i was because I was "lucky" enough to have it spread from top to bottom instead of just at top or bottom etc.... so now when I where my knee high boots (with heels!) my legs apparently look endless lol .. and my hunny is becoming a leg man .. so he should cos the girls have shrunk lol .. See below for the results I forgot to post with the pics Im so excited about seeing your pics lol .. if you have a hard time just email me them and I will post them for you (send me a pm for my email addy )

STEPHANIE - Wow .. I do see a change .. and what a FABULOUS NSV!! I hope you are proud of yourself too Its definitely a blast to get a size you cant remember wearing before


Had a lovely day at work today .. but Im so tired after 12 days straight so really happy to get home lol. We are promoting the tea morning we are having at work ... so now Im trying to get my menu right so I have enough for everyone lol .. will be a busy day on Thursday getting it all ready too So far I have the sweets almost sorted - Either Choc/Mint Fudge or White Choc/Rasp Fudge ... plus either Caramel Crunch or Ginger Crunch ... plus Fudge Balls .. and of course cupcakes .. just not sure which ones lol ... and then for a savoury I was thinking mini-quiche ... and maybe some sausage rolls .. or not .. cos I dont know if we will be able to reheat them there .. so still working it out really lol ... Maybe savoury pinwheel scones? Argggh .. I dont even have numbers to cater for so its gonna be a lot of crossing fingers I get it right lol.

Tomorrow is weigh in for the treadmill .. a little nervous because I am hovering over the weight I need to be at to reach the goal .. just have to hope it drops lower over night so that I can breathe a little easier lol .. but what will be will be ... this morning I weighed in at 228.8 ... this evening (before tea) I was at 230.8 ... and for weigh in .. I need to be at 230.1 ... So I have been drinking lots of water and gonna have some more green tea so that hopefully it will flush everything out.

Anyway ... here are my measured results .. well .. my 1 year anniversary results .. even though my 1 year is next weekend lol .. but close enough I meant to post with my pics

Total measurements down 32.45 inches (82.4cm)

Hi Everyone!
Looking forward to my daughter starting school again only because then I can get back on a schedule.
Katt if you can not notice a change you really need your eyes checked! I am so rooting for you to winn that treadmill!
