Ditto what Ubee said about not fixing something that isn't broken. As long as that works for you, keep doing it. Just use MFP to keep a food log (maybe to track your weight loss progress) and nothing more.
I follow what MFP suggests (right now it gives me a limit of 1810 without exercise). I am 324.
What did you put in as your activity level?
If you want to follow what they have suggested on there, maybe just increase your exercise a little to allow you more calories? That's what I do. Today I ate about 2015 cals (this is a little higher than usual for me, since I ate fast food today). With my exercise I ended up at a total of 1317 for the day.
Goal Weight 1: 299 lbs
UGW: 120 lbs
When I hit 215- No longer Morbidly Obese
When I hit 160- No longer Obese
When I hit 130- No longer Overweight
If I ever hit 100- You've gone too far. (Underweight)
Every 10 lbs I get
