Good morning all. Looks like great progress for the challenge!

Vortex Welcome. It always helps to have more people in a challenge to give -- and get -- support!
SilentArctic Hey, you lost 6 pounds last week! That's wonderful. Focus on that because you sure did something right!
Easily Amused I love how you sort of casually mentioned as an after thought that you'd moved down into a lower obesity category. That would have been my lead in in capital letters. Way to go!
Ubee This is me cheering for you with the weight loss! You were right to be looking forward to the weigh in. Way to go.
NightKatt If your hunny is really, really, really into Twinkies and you can resist them, here's a link for a homemade version. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/homemade-twinkies/ It says these can be easily frozen. Might be fun to make them together.

Had a lazy day yesterday -- never even got dressed. It rained all day so after lunch I moved to the recliner and ended up falling asleep for 3 hours. Guess I was pooped out from moving all the mulch and dirt during the week -- figured it was my weight training for the week as I think I estimated that I had moved close to 3 tons by the end of the week. Having a parmesan chicken recipe and grilled asparagus for dinner tonight. Yum! Have a great day all.

Starfish it is the little things that help me most.
Betsy thanks! I need all the positive energy I can get.
Angela/Vortex it is never too late. Glad to have you joining us.
Silent you are down 4 pounds since you started! That is good! I've lost 3 and am on top of the world!!!
Easily thanks for the image of you weighing your boobs. I used to worry about the wrinkles until I looked at my aunts who are in their 90's. I love them! Now I wear my wrinkles with pride! It is that pannus that scares me.
Katt I taught my kids to hang up the clothes they try on. My sister one time tried on 500 bikinis in all different sizes and left them on the floor. I must have been adopted.
This thread is more fun when you are losing. Thanks Katt!

UBEE - WAHOOOOOOO ... Well done hun .. great drop .. I think the last challenge was all about you learning about yourself and choices more than losses so it was needed to get you to be able to focus this time so think of the last challenge as a success too cos it sure as eggs motivated you nicely this time round

EASILY - Definitely no Saint lol ... admittedly it was very stressful the first couple of years with her just coming over and doing things lol .. but taking the time to think about it I realise she would probably be lonely at home on her own, especially in the evenings. We have come to an understanding on my days off when I have been working to maybe not stop by through the day .. she is such an energetic little thing that I feel guilty for not being a whirling dirvish on my day off cleaning the house top to bottom .. even if its my only day off in a the week lol .. so its not so bad .. and she does help a lot which I appreciate too. Im the same as you about the clothes. I have cleared out about 80% of my wardrobe .. someone said to Gok it (Gok is an amazing English guy all about fashion and bodies etc .. look him up) .. which means revamping into something new .. but I remember how hard it was for me to find something nice at the op shops (second hand clothing stores) in my size so I thought it would be nicer to donate them for others to get some use out of too There are Stages in the BMI???? OMG .. that means I have reached Stage I too!! lol .. I just thought it was just Obese .. so kewl... you have made my day

SILENT - Wow!!! Fantastic loss for you this week hun .. really well done ... lovely Whoosh!

VORTEX - Welcome on in .. look forward to seeing you on the board .. I babble a lot so you are more than welcome to join in to reduce my babble lol

BETSY - I can always avoid my baking lol so will note that recipe and give it a go .. I have fortunately enough people I can give them away to lol .. and wow .. lots of working out with all that moving .. so definitely a deserved nap

STARFISH - Good on you hun .. I must admit I have been pretty bad in my note taking in my Calorie Counter for the last few weeks .. so I think I will start that again after my weigh in this week to see if that makes a difference in my loss ...

UBEE - You such a loser lol .. and omg ... 500 bikinis?????!!!!!! Holy crabapple .. other than the colours are there really that many designs??? How big was the store??? Good grief .. those would be such a pain in the tush to hang too lol ..

Right .. well .. today was supposed to be my day off .. but am needed at work so better go and get dressed .. glad I had breakfast with hunny before he left lol ... will catch up tonight instead Hugs all!

WATCH - Way to go for you too this week ... nicey nicey

Just taking time to relax for the evening ... of course the weather was BEAUTIFUL .. was the same last week when I was supposed to have the day off and I was called in to work .. and yet the day I did have off was miserable lol .. but it was a busy day, lots of clothes getting hung and put away and moved and rearranged and customers served .. was brilliant
Had a quick stop at the supermarket on the way home to get a couple of ingredients and then came home and baked some Savoury Muffins which had Bacon, Feta, Colby, Red & Green Peppers, Chives, Parsley & Paprika in ... 1 dozen of those .. and then 2 dozen of my Lemon/Coconut cupcakes ... all to take into work tomorrow for my workmates & customers to sample ... minus the ones that hunny wants to keep lol ..
I got quite a buzz today .. got myself a new pair of tights (Leggings) at work and they are only a size 16!!! YAY! ... my jeans are usually an 18-20 so I wasn't expecting them to fit really but wanted to get a pair in advance to get down into .. and Im wearing them comfortably! So regardless of the weigh in this week I have my high lol.
Hugs all!

Katt- congrats on the leggings fitting! I wear leggings everyday and realised today that I'm constantly having to pull up my 18s- I'll need to move down a size soon, I guess, but I'm feeling a bit cheap at the moment so they'll have to just be a bit saggy for awhile!

With what you said about 'ideal weights' and sizes a couple of pages back- do they really think the ideal weight is targeted at a size 8? My goal weight is the upper end of 'normal' BMI for my height, and when I was that weight many moons ago, I was a 12-14, and I was pretty slender back then. I can't imagine my body as a size 8. Seems that I would be nothing but bone then! I think bone structure and muscle mass play a lot into weight and sizing.

Easily- loved what you said about being a bit overweight to fill out the wrinkles. I'm going to remember that one later!

Sue the little green guy got me yesterday and I overate too. All done with that for both of us. New day and I am going to show a loss on Monday even if I have to shave my legs to do it!
Ferris I agree about body shape. I am an apple/V shape. If I were a size 8 I would look strange.
Katt yipee! on the new tights. I love how you cook. Don't be surprised if you see me on your doorstep someday.
Watchout thanks! I really am going to do this and I really need a lot of help. Another great loss for you! Better start planning some shopping trips.
Even though last night was a struggle, my mind is in such a better place this time around. I worry about my eating when life throws me a curve ball in the future. Any tips?

Ubee, what's a bikini? Personally, I'm leaning towards those swimsuits that my mother was wearing back in the 1920s.......covered a lot of sins!

Today I'm up another pound -- thought it was just water weight after a quick 2 pound drop and my body adjusting. Then I thought through what I really had to eat. Ate a LOT of fruit salad last night because the strawberries were beginning to get to the mushy stage and heaven forbid I just toss it out. And then added new potatoes to the roasted asparagus/zucchini and ate way too much. New lesson learned: even if it's good for you, you can still eat too much of it!

Off to the gym. Have a great day.

FERRIS - Thanks hun .. yes .. in NZ the apparent "Ideal" is an 8-10 in size .. Im wondering what store they are buying from .. cos if its Millers then that isn't so bad cos in reality I think that is more a 10-12 lol ... I just think an ideal being a single figure is really scary ... mind you .. the worldwide size variance is ridiculous .. as I found when I was in the US and Canada .. i felt like a giant and was wondering where all these big people were when I was there .. other than my Canadian family that is where there are a few bigger versions of the population lol. As for the pants .. didn't really have a lot of choice .. needed something other than my jeans for work lol ... but other than a couple of jackets I have on hold for me that will be it for a while I think

SUE - Hun if you ever feel the need to rant or vent please don't hold it back .. let it out to one of us .. either on the board or in a PM cos that is what we are here for .. so that you don't feel like you have to face it on your own and battle it without support .. big hugs and Im proud of you for stepping up and facing it then carrying on rather than letting it spiral completely out of control

UBEE - I have said it before and I will say it again .. if any of my net friends make it to NZ to Wellington they are more than welcome to camp out at my place any time .. just with a little warning so I can get a bed in lol ...
Eating tips for stress - HAVE IT .. just not a lot of it. I know that sounds like a contradiction to what we should be doing .. but I have found when I am stressed if I don't cave a LITTLE on something I probably shouldn't have I tend to get more stressed and I will just fail worse later. I also find that keeping my hands busy helps .. especially if I use it as a bribe to get over that urge or craving. I have my cross stitch or books ... so it becomes a bribe .. e.g.:
"I will just finish this row ... oh have thread left, will just finish this thread" this gets repeated until the craving or thought lessens. Once its at that stage Im like ok .. do I really want it .. or is it because something has peeved me off or upset me in some way or am I just bored? This journey has become a series of questions for me to constantly ask myself .. and the biggest hurdle I had to overcome was the constant thought of food .. what the next meal was or what snack I could have etc .. so I stopped thinking of anything in advance other than in a general term of options .. made me enjoy the food more when I wasn't thinking about it for hours in advance lol .. but this doesn't work for everyone.

BETSY - If you are anything like me its those darn potatoes .. I have found if I have more than one of the baby potatoes I gain something lol .. and as for bikini heck not for me lol .. I have bought 3 tankinis ... so its a nice long top over knicker bottoms ... prefer to a one piece as they don't cling ... mind you .. have to already rehome one pair .. or not swim in them cos they are loose on me and would hate them to fall off when wet!!! One fits nicely now and the other one is a size smaller ... I got them all when they were in a clearance sale from summer into winter lol .. so next summer I will be all set

Right .. time to get to work .. got the baking and ready to go .. have to get there early so I have time to vac the whole shop cos its been driving me nuts for a week how bits of paper etc are all over the place and dust bunnys are breeding ... too hard to do when the shop is open cos I don't want to trip the customers up lol ..

Will catch up tonight again .. hugs all!
