Time for a new book!

also, because TickerFactory is pretty nifty, with the tickers they make charts, too. So... Here's a chart of my progress, since I restarted in mid-May.

I'm trying to decide if I want to start a new series (the Merry Gentry series by Laurell K Hamilton) or if I want to work on getting up to date in a couple of my current series. It's a tough decision.

Well Done Mandy!!! That is so great .. I am taking a leaf from your book (scuse the pun lol) and treating myself to something I love .. the Mill Hill Bead Cross Stitch kits of the houses .. so far I have about 7 done .. and I have just ordered another 7 .. BUT .. this time I am going to hold off on diving into doing them and only using them as a reward for achieving a goal of some kind Each one only takes me a few days to do when I get really focused on it, but that was before I got my job, so now hopefully it will take at least a week lol. (will post a pic of a link to them to show what I do ) But its because of your book reward system that I have decided to do this .. and the reason I have ordered so many is because it works out to be a LOT cheaper for me to get them cos I have have to get them from the US lol .. so by the time I added in freight for each one individually I could have gotten an extra 1 for every 2 I ordered separately! So hate freight charges eeeek

So its been a busy work weekend .. spent most of it moving stock around (which I loved), but I think I did a little more damage to my arm as I can hardly straighten it now So prob wont have a happy doc or a happy "return to work" person ... but will try to behave this week and hopefully it will be ok then

Im going to try to get to the gym tomorrow .. I think if I can get to the gym 3 times this week I will have finally achieved a goal I set lol .. am going to give it a good go anyway

I was a little bored last night so decided to make my Cheesecake Cupcakes to take to work today, but it wasnt very busy so half of them have come home lol .. but we will be good and freeze half of them, and share the rest Until I adjust the sugar content the calories are a little higher than I would like at 200 cal each ... but now that I am happy with the Almond Meal replacing the flour and the baking times and temps better, I can play with the butter and sugar part to see if I can get at least another 50 cal off it (before the calories were over 380 each lol) ... once I get that right, I will be happy with that one and can work on something else lol.

I think I will be delaying my cookbook, I dont have the amount of time that I used to to keep trialling my recipes and tweaking them .. so will instead just keep working on my recipes and once I have enough that I am happy to have in a book I will organise getting it printed again

Hope everyone has had a good weekend?!

ALI - Great loss this week!! Well done!!

Managed to slip in a visit to the gym on my break .. did 4.3km and a little weight work (legs only and right arm .. still can't use my left one properly) ... was really pleased with that and was feeling fantastic after it
Going in first thing in the morning to do another walk before meeting up with a friend for coffee .. then brunch a little later .. before back to the gym for a session on the Vibra fit machine (thats the vibrating thingy) .. and then meeting up with my friend again for another cuppa .. probably a green tea though lol ..
Really hoping for a decent drop this week .. even if the doc won't be over the moon .. I just feel I have a hard time sticking to the right choices if I think I don't have to lose much .. I would rather stick with what I used to do and just enjoy a treat once a week instead .. mind you .. now that I am adding in exercise I have to learn to eat a little more protein to make up for it .. but would rather have my veges lol.

Hope all is well for everyone and that you have had a nice weekend Sunny day here today .. so wished I was out in it lol .. but will hope that tomorrow will be just as nice .. Im introducing my friend to Pita Pit as she hasn't had one before

Welcome back Vortex! Wow, only 1 lb gain after traveling is super! Sending "get-er-done" vibes your way...

Stephanie, lovely photos! So glad to hear about hubby's visa being approved. Congrats on the 3.4 lbs! Woohoo!!!

Mandy, Way to go on the 3.2 lbs! Awesome!!! I like the Ticker Factory, too. Unfortunately, I only update mine when it goes down so I haven't visited the site in about 3 weeks. sigh

Katt, that is terrible about the freight charges. I guess there has to be at least one disadvantage of living in such a beautiful place, eh?!
So sorry to hear about your arm still ailing. I'm in the same boat with mine. We need a month long vacation where we are waited on and don't have to use it.
Have you tried Stevia with your cupcakes in place of sugar? Or do they have it over there? I know it wouldn't be the same, but that would save you some calories.
Yay on the 4.3km and weight work!

Ali, Outstanding loss this week! WOW!!!

Ubee! I was wondering about you. I'm up 2 lbs, too for no explainable reason whatsover...

I'm still trucking along. The scale is being stubborn, but I'm not letting it get to me. I'm having some weird reaction on my right eyelid from wiping the sweat off of it without taking my work gloves off while working in the yard early this morning. Hopefully, it will pass, but if I disappear, just wanted to let y'all know that I may be having some issues. I have been postponing my checkup waiting on this weight to go down closer to the non-obese level, but I will wait to see if my eyelid blows up anymore by the morning... I'm not allergic to anything that I know of, but I keep thinking about Will Smith in Hitch when his face blew up. OY

Hope you are all doing well this week!

Hitch! I <3 that movie.... actually was watching it last night while walking on the treadmill.

And I'm also taking today off from the extra walking because my hips and lower back are achy. I think I need better shoes. :-\

Soooooo...I love Justin Timberlake, I have since about birth. lolol. I've seen him twice on this tour and I'm seeing him three more times. One of which is July 28th, so I have been going around and around trying to find SOMETHING to wear. The first two times I've seen him I was super heavy, so while my outfits were cute they weren't to my standards. Now I have so many options it's overwhelming. I went to Maurices which is a store in our mall here and found a dress in a size LARGE! Not Extra, extra large...not just extra large. But a LARGE! And that's when NSV come into play. It isn't always about the number on the scale, because sometimes that number lies while your body shows you the truth.
Pic of said dress:
Not wearing with that jacket. If I decide to wear a jacket it would be a darker denim than that.

A head shot comparison (just because I don't hate what use to be my fat, chubby face!):

UBEE - No stressing hun .. it happens and you are a work in progress remember .. its not always about the number but about the WHOLE journey .. which includes learning about yourself more too You can do it

EASILY - Stopped in at work today and there was a letter from the “health” people of our work in regards to my arm and the “return to work” system that is put into place for me lol .. yeah well .. never was good at following instructions .. the second thing on the list was no merchandising but I didn’t realise .. sorta explains why my arm is darn sore this week .. but at least now I know to chill on that for a bit lol. I haven’t tried anything like Stevia .. went to look for it and the price of it over here is mind boggling .. would definitely make the cupcake/baking too expensive to make for me let alone anyone else lol… so better to find alternatives .. been told to try prune juice .. so gonna get a blender to make some and give that a go .. definitely going to be a trial and error thing lol.
I hope your eye is ok? Im blind in my left one so definitely concerned about vision etc .. but yes get it checked .. better safe than sorry I need to get that movie out lol ..

ALI - I have been targeting between 2-2.5miles for my walks and last night had a terrible cramping in the shin of my leg .. thank goodness for a massager I got given last year lol .. helped relieve it for sure

FERA - Maybe you can get liners that will help your shoes if you don’t want to have to get another pair? I was having the same problems but my new liners are helping.

WATCH - I do know that experience and you are right it sucks lol .. but at least that means that next week should be a good one for you JT huh? I do like some of his music .. but I don’t go to any concerts because Im not good in crowded situations .. but I have gone to a few in the past (Dire Straits, Tina Turner, Eurythmics, Jimmy Barnes, Dionne Warwick more recently lol) .. but that was like 20 plus years ago .. definitely not happy in crowds but I LOVE the dress .. so cute and OMG the difference in your face is incredible .. your family & friends must be so proud of you too And WAHOO on your NSV .. its a great feeling isn’t it? Still envy your arms lol .. hugs

Had a fantastic day off today I was gonna get my hunny to drop me off at Starbucks for a coffee to chill out on my computer for a couple of hours waiting for my friend .. instead I got him to drop me off at the gym again! Did another 3.6km (shortened the time), then did a circuit on the weight machines, then did a quick 2 minute cycle (knees didn’t like that one!) .. and then I got to chill for 25 minutes in the sauna! After that a quick shower and I was off to meet my friend for coffee at Starbucks and a catch up .. then I introduced her to Pita Pit (she had never had it before) and was asked by the manager (who knows I have pretty much lived on Pita when not having my home meal for the last 9 months lol) if I would be interested in telling my weight loss story and how Pita has been a part of the journey etc for a health food magazine!! Im so stoked Of course I said yes but it won’t be for a couple of months or so
After lunch my friend and I went for a wander around the shops (something I rarely do and haven’t in the area I live in lol) and we got some good deals (I got 2 seasons of CSI NY for less than $20NZ!!) .. plus a few treats (a couple of hand made chocolates and a cookie made out of ground Hazelnuts) .. then we went to a few op shops and $2 shops to have a gander .. then off for a cup of coffee and our treats for afternoon tea. Incredible but we spent from 10am to 530pm together lol .. lots of walking, talking, laughing and just some lovely adult time .. she lives about 5 hours away and was down for a couple of weeks so it was such a lovely time to be together Came home and made hunny an omelet for dinner .. I chose not to have anything else .. mainly because we were finishing off the Apple cake from last night so figured that would be enough .. and I was right
Told hunny he isn’t dropping me at Starbucks in the morning .. going straight to the gym so I can try to get in a 30 minute walk before I head off to work

Hugs all !!!

Thanks Ali! I hope your left calf is better today!

Mandy, hope you are not as achy today!

Watchout, definitely had many whooshes taken away from me. So frustrating! WTG on the Large!!! Cute outfit! Wow, what a difference in your pics!

Katt, Yay on the 3.6km and weights!!! That is great about the health magazine article! Have fun at the gym!
That is terrible that Stevia is so high over there. I'm not sure how the coupon system works over there, but I get Stevia in the Raw and I always find a $1 coupon. I buy it in the Baker's Bag. It is usually around $5 with the coupon but that bag always lasts me over 2 months. I'm sure with baking it would go faster though. Oh, I had another thought. Some people bake with pumpkin or apple sauce as a sugar replacement to save calories. I have never tried it, but I hear it is good.

My eyelid is still swollen this morning, but it is not quite as puffy. I remembered I still had antihistamine in the house after I posted. I only took 2 though because that stuff makes me feel wonky. Hopefully, it will get better the rest of the way on its on.

I do enjoy Hitch every time I see it. I always catch something new and I have seen it so many times.

Have a great day!
