Easily 70 pounds gone for good is a huge win!
I went to a larger town yesterday and found sugar free caramel for my coffee. Not the same but close enough. It is fitting because I have to change to do this.

I didn't get much sleep last night. So I'm kinda tired. I have a goal of 4 miles today. I'm at .2 right now. Don't want to move at all. Gotta get off my butt. Up and at 'em.

I'm having a hard time keeping up with all the threads! Work seems to have blocked the site so now I can only enter on my cell phone or tablet - which is a HUGE pain in the rump.... grrr....

So anyway --- sorry I'm absent so much and having a hard time replying to everyone's discussion.

Mandy, I couldn't see your pics, I'm sorry --- I did see your's Katt -- beautiful!

My scale and I are getting along again - :
We had a bad Monday lol - I had gained 4 lbs - long story short, you may have seen it on other threads, Nyquil/Dayquil got me - 19 carbs per dose and I took it 4 or 5x a day.

But - I'm back and since Monday I've lost 6lbs so Im still on track for my goal. I'm sooooo excited at the possibility of weighing under 300 lbs by August - I haven't weighed under that in years. Years!!

And like many of you said, I'm blessed with an awesome hubby who never has ever made me feel bad about my looks and is always telling me I'm beautiful etc. Even though I think he's nuts lol

But, ya know, some local friends started a FB group and we've been getting together to excercise, etc. Like half of them have hubbies/boyfriends/whatever that are on them about their weight and making them feel bad if they do have something they shouldn't.. I was fuming. All these women are beautiful and amazing gals, and not to mention I'd give my big toe to weight what they do!, How dare those make these women feel like crap for a few extra pounds. GRRRR

And they just make excuses for them - oh he can't help it if he likes small women, etc etc --- makes me very angry. But also very thankful for my wonderful hubby who no matter what would not ever make me feel that way.

WANNA - Hunny you are still doing fine .. such a little stall really … you have been consistent all month so its a little stall … thats all .. you are doing ab fab (not to mention gives me a chance to catch up woman lol)

UBEE - I enjoy a couple of coffees a day now .. no sugar and only trim milk so its not too bad really … other than my Starbucks one of course which always seems to have more calories (but then its more milk lol).

EASILY - Reading about your temps makes me happy lol .. I know it sounds weird but I like my cold weather over here now we are heading into Winter .. I find it easier to layer on the clothes for Winter than strip em back to cool down lol. Thankies .. my daughter commented on it being see through lol .. I said Im wearing a bra .. be thankful lol. Medical has come a long way. We lost my nephew a few years ago to leukaemia (he was 11.5) and that took a while for our family to recover from as he had been given the all clear 18 months earlier (he was originally diagnosed at 5). But like I said, my sister is a fighter and an inspiration so we are thinking all good I think the accountability of posting our weight each week helps to control some of my bad behaviour (obviously not all of it or I would be going down consistently lol). So I’m very proud of you for sticking to it and posting whatever the result .. you know it will get there eventually And look at that .. 70 pounds gone gone gone!! Be proud … I read a quote the other day at the gym … “don’t wait til you reach your goal to be proud of your achievement, be proud of every step on the journey” … I think that is fab

UBEE - Not a fan of flavourings in my coffee … just like my coffee lol .. and I don’t have any of those SF things … I get headaches from those fake replacements so easier just to say no .. or have an indulge moment lol.

MANDY - Hope you get some rest tonight .. you are doing soooo much better at the whole physical aspect of this journey than me lol .. at least you are consistent!

ALI - Welcome back hun … I am having the same issue with access… I used to be able to get the wifi to work at Starbucks in the morning before I started so I could catch up .. but since I updated the darn thing it won’t connect and Im afraid to play with the system in case I screw it up and can’t use it anywhere lol .. but the phone is a painful way to view it. Wow on the loss since Monday .. omg .. mind you I would get told off if I did that again but yay you and I know what you mean about reaching a goal that you haven’t see for years … Im at the lowest that I can remember since oh .. about 20 years!!! scary now I think about it lol. Im with you about those beep men … I have known others like that .. but they know not to say anything about their wives/gf that isn’t positive around me or I give them a piece of my mind .. and considering how non-vocab they are .. its a short blast or they get lost. I think we with husbands/partners that love us just the way we are .. however we are .. are darn lucky .. and definitely something to think about on those days when we are feeling icky about ourselves … while we may not see what others do .. obviously the special ones see something that we need to see (hopefully that made sense .. I think Im babbling again lol).

I missed both of my gym appointments this week due to migraine on Tuesday and then I went into work on Thurs ... so whew that I at least got there on Monday lol .. will try again next week .. although I have mentioned to hunny that maybe I could go after work once or twice ... something to work on

Hi all. Was completely AWOL for a month. Did some travel and allowed that to derail me. The good news is, I only came back a pound heavier than I left. The bad news is.... that's still moving backwards.

Thanks for everyone's kind words. I will admit that I have been basically living under a rock since my husband left. We did, however, get some good news a couple of days ago - the visa was approved! We've still got some hoops to jump through, but we're hoping that he will be able to fly home (cuz "home" is wherever I am for him) on Sept. 1. Woohoo!!

So now I have even more of a reason to keep doing well. I want to surprise him with a smaller version of myself!

I'm trying to decide if I want to start a new series (the Merry Gentry series by Laurell K Hamilton) or if I want to work on getting up to date in a couple of my current series. It's a tough decision.

Well Done Mandy!!! That is so great .. I am taking a leaf from your book (scuse the pun lol) and treating myself to something I love .. the Mill Hill Bead Cross Stitch kits of the houses .. so far I have about 7 done .. and I have just ordered another 7 .. BUT .. this time I am going to hold off on diving into doing them and only using them as a reward for achieving a goal of some kind Each one only takes me a few days to do when I get really focused on it, but that was before I got my job, so now hopefully it will take at least a week lol. (will post a pic of a link to them to show what I do ) But its because of your book reward system that I have decided to do this .. and the reason I have ordered so many is because it works out to be a LOT cheaper for me to get them cos I have have to get them from the US lol .. so by the time I added in freight for each one individually I could have gotten an extra 1 for every 2 I ordered separately! So hate freight charges eeeek

So its been a busy work weekend .. spent most of it moving stock around (which I loved), but I think I did a little more damage to my arm as I can hardly straighten it now So prob wont have a happy doc or a happy "return to work" person ... but will try to behave this week and hopefully it will be ok then

Im going to try to get to the gym tomorrow .. I think if I can get to the gym 3 times this week I will have finally achieved a goal I set lol .. am going to give it a good go anyway

I was a little bored last night so decided to make my Cheesecake Cupcakes to take to work today, but it wasnt very busy so half of them have come home lol .. but we will be good and freeze half of them, and share the rest Until I adjust the sugar content the calories are a little higher than I would like at 200 cal each ... but now that I am happy with the Almond Meal replacing the flour and the baking times and temps better, I can play with the butter and sugar part to see if I can get at least another 50 cal off it (before the calories were over 380 each lol) ... once I get that right, I will be happy with that one and can work on something else lol.

I think I will be delaying my cookbook, I dont have the amount of time that I used to to keep trialling my recipes and tweaking them .. so will instead just keep working on my recipes and once I have enough that I am happy to have in a book I will organise getting it printed again

ALI - Great loss this week!! Well done!!


Managed to slip in a visit to the gym on my break .. did 4.3km and a little weight work (legs only and right arm .. still can't use my left one properly) ... was really pleased with that and was feeling fantastic after it
Going in first thing in the morning to do another walk before meeting up with a friend for coffee .. then brunch a little later .. before back to the gym for a session on the Vibra fit machine (thats the vibrating thingy) .. and then meeting up with my friend again for another cuppa .. probably a green tea though lol ..
Really hoping for a decent drop this week .. even if the doc won't be over the moon .. I just feel I have a hard time sticking to the right choices if I think I don't have to lose much .. I would rather stick with what I used to do and just enjoy a treat once a week instead .. mind you .. now that I am adding in exercise I have to learn to eat a little more protein to make up for it .. but would rather have my veges lol.

Hope all is well for everyone and that you have had a nice weekend Sunny day here today .. so wished I was out in it lol .. but will hope that tomorrow will be just as nice .. Im introducing my friend to Pita Pit as she hasn't had one before

Easily you made me laugh out loud thinking about Hitch lol. Hope all goes well with your eye though!

I had actually weighed Mon a week ago and was all the way at 330....I kicked major butt this week lol

Skipping my walk tonight....been doing 2.5 miles but left calf is killing me tonight so gonna take the night off.

Don't sweat the two pounds guys it'll come right back off!
