This last week well, truth is I was kinda in crazy land. Hormonal HELLo. Perimenopause or whatever it is called. Good news is I maintained! I am very proud of myself. The old me would have tossed in the towel. Like Betsy, I think I can still make my goal.
Katt please share your pictures! I want to see the dress and boot combo. I love boots and someday I may even buy a pair. How are you going to make dairy free cheesecake cup cakes?
Mandy hope your allergies get better soon.
Easily I admire you for being able to stay away from the scale when you feel it will not be in your best interest. I am going to store that in my little brain.
Watchout YOU ARE A BABE! If I looked as good as you I would have mirrors all over my house!
Stephanie what a great loss!
Betsy yes it does come off slower then it goes on. Maybe we should stop putting it on. (Let me know when you figure out how to do that.)
Sue, Ferris what have you been up to?

Just a quick fly over as I'm taking Toby into town for his spa day (dog lives better than I do!). But, Ubee, I think if we can figure out a way to stop putting it on and to make it come off as fast as it goes on, then you could skip buying those lottery tickets!

Had a great weekend with the family for father's day and a couple of joint birthdays. Ate poorly and my fingers look like sausages. See note above to Ubee.

Off to the gym before the trip to town.

Hi everyone!

Highs near 100 degrees every day of the 10 day forecast. The LOWEST high is 94. Complete with lots of humidity. Summer in the south SUUUUUUUCKS.

I've managed to climb up through the lazy fog and get to the treadmill for a 2 mile walk the last few days, so while it's not much, it's much better than nothing at all.

Waiting on a phone call from the church where hubby interviewed to schedule another interview since the call committee voted unanimously to submit him for consideration to the church council, so that's good news. It just means more traveling on the horizon.

Mid-week weigh in is tomorrow... hope it's good!

Hi everyone!! Hopefully that pic works .. its me and my "big" sister The first pic was a few weeks after she was diagnosed with Melanoma ... and my wake up call .. the second is beginning of this year in a similar pose. As you can see my sis is still with us and doing ok .. had a bad report recently, but she is a fighter and we will just keep thinking positive, she has proven the docs wrong so far

UBEE - YAY!!! Love that attitude hun .. and whooot about maintaining this week .. that is a great achievement for sure Dairy free is easy ... its just using a spread called Olivani which is made from olives not dairy .. its the only dairy free spread we have over here that I have found so far. The only thing I can't make dairy free is the topping .. but then I don't have to put it on all of them (White Choc Cream Cheese Frosting). Haven't got the pics from my hunny yet .. and some of them are ok .. I really don't like doing these sorts of shoots without someone doing my hair and makeup cos Im useless at doing that lol .. but yeah .. there are a couple of good ones that I have seen .. and I also had a .. ummm .. boudoir shot done which was something I never thought I would do ... and while there are lots of folds (which hunny will hopefully photoshop lol) Im actually proud of myself (nothing is on show btw lol) for doing that ... so will see what ones he gives me to post and put a few of them up

WANNA & FERA - Wow .. with all those books you two could open a library lol. I love to read too but Im more into the crime ones lol .. James Patterson et al .. although if I want a quick read there is nothing wrong with a Mills & Boon lol (do you have Mills & Boon over there???? duh Katt of course they would). I also have a lot of Agatha Christie .. and my set of Harry Potter, CS Lewis .. a bunch of Beatrix Potter and Dr Suess lol... there are a few biographies in there too .. ummm ... Oh ... Terry Pratchet & Terry Brooks feature in my bookcase too .. so yeah a little sci-fi fantasy ish ... really now that I think about it .. I am rather eclectic in my reading .. same with music, movies etc

BETSY - FAB loss for you last week .. definitely rocking it Im with you on the speed of off compared to on lol ... always takes me a couple of weeks to recover the bad behaviour ... even if it was just one day ... usually longer when its a binge bender over a few days ... but you took a huge chunk out of the add on last week .. well done

FERA - Well done!!!! Great loss posted .. you are flying towards your goal for sure Hopefully you are starting to feel better .. although those temps aren't sounding wonderful lol .. I must admit hearing some of the temps you guys hit over there in the summer are just mind boggling to comprehend .. we are such a moderate country overall .. winter and summer (although the further south you go over here the colder in the winter). Hopefully you will find a way to cope with the heat there and good luck for the phone call you are waiting for

STEPHANIE - Wow!! Look at you flying towards your goal!! Definitely going to be hitting it and going further I think .. and great consistency too! Hope your headache didn't hang round for too long.

EASILY - I had a fun TOM too ... thought that it had finished .. only to reappear a couple of days later ... grrr ... not sure if that is what affected my weigh in last week but it could have been a combo of that and the carb binge (which I gave into I think because TOM was hanging round longer than needed lol). Im sure we will be back on track this week though I have tweaked my plan a little mainly by tracking my food again .. I think I got a little too lax in it which was allowing me to make too many naughty choices thinking I had that leeway when really I didn't ... let us know what things you tweak if you do change anything Sleep is never the same for me ... some nights I sleep for 6-7 hours straight .. other nights its hourly .. then its 3-4 ... I do find I sleep better on the nights that I have done a workout that day lol .. well .. now .. when I first started the exercise definitely not cos I kept cramping which would wake me up lol.

BETSY - While our ones don't got to get pampered they definitely live well lol ... this isn't our house, its theirs ..we just pay the mortgage lol. Meals are pretty much the same as ours more often than not and dog food is a treat for them. All 4 of them are our babies, Gizmo is my main girl, and Pepa is my boy, Baer & Teagan are my hunnys girls

Okee ... so yesterday almost didn't make it to the gym .. but managed to get there late afternoon instead of in the morning .. did a 45 min walk (4.3km - 551 calories apparently lol) ... had a lovely quick shower and finished just in time to get picked up by my hunny on his way home from work. We stopped at the supermarket and I got some bits and pieces for dinner etc ... came home and got dinner ready (Caesar Salad, Cheese & Onion Frittata and a little bit of a rotisserie chicken) .. high protein which is what my trainer said I needed on the days that I did a workout Have dinner tonight planned already too, home made chicken and vegetable soup with barley Little bit of crusty bread too, so will get that started soon as I am baking shortly too and like to get everything done at once then I can do one clean up instead of feeling like I am cleaning the kitchen all day lol ... and then I have my trainer this afternoon! Will ice (or not) the baking when I get home after dinner perhaps

So will catch up with everyone later Have a great day all

Mid week weigh in: 311.8

That's down 1.8 from Friday! Here's hoping that last few ounces falls off so I can have 2+ for the week when I weigh in on Friday.

*happy dance* I get a new book in 2 pounds!

Also, I get to post links and pics and stuff now. And have a sig! YAY

Oh. Because I can... Here's the pictures that really woke me up as to how big I was and made me seriously recommit to losing weight.

A friend of mine was all... "look at the beautiful pictures I got of you and your husband at graduation!" and then gave me these:

Thanks.

I did snag a good one... He proposed to me when I was just 10 pounds smaller than I am now... married me at 40 pounds less, and still loved me at 20 pounds bigger. I really wish I could see me through his eyes, just once. He's always been very supportive and had nothing but kind words for me. Never once has he said anything about my weight. He knows better than to tell me "you're not fat" (we had such a fight over that once, about 4 years ago), but he constantly tells me he thinks I'm pretty, or that I look great in a new outfit or something. With him, I never worry about my weight.

MANDY - I think your pics are lovely and your hunny sounds like mine I know with him it doesn't matter what I look like on the outside, he really doesn't see that too much .. which surprises me cos I see it all the darn time. He loves to take photos of me and I don't understand that either cos when I see some of them Im like OMG look at that arm, or bulge or roll or fold omg .. that is soooo not the way I need to be looking at them .. and neither should you I look at my wedding pics and regardless of the size of me, I remember the day and the way I felt and I possibly see what he sees .. so I hope when you look at those pics (which I think are sweet) that you remember the feel of the day and look at them with those eyes instead

Had a great day today .. I did take the Cheesecake Cupcakes to work for the customers which went down really well .. had to keep a couple for friends for dessert lol. We went out after work to an Indian restaurant and I treated myself tonight .. had a glass or two of wine, but didn't have a lot of food, just little bits of a few things (as its not my fave type of food lol) but the company was excellent and I had a lovely evening

Hopefully it won't affect my weigh in on Friday too much .. but I am heading to the gym tomorrow afternoon so will see how I go

Good Morning!
Sue true we don't have to like it. By the way according to my original calculations I should be at goal by now!
Katt glad you had a good time out with friends. I just started relaxing and letting myself drink (coffees) some of my calories. I really missed them.
Mandy you and hubby look so happy! You are very pretty.
Watchout you are so close to 200!
Easily glad you got your mojo back! I am going to tackle it 5 pounds at a time but I am with you!
Betsy my cat always tries to bite my toes. Hubby says he thinks they are his breakfast sausages. (The cats not hubbys!)
Feels so good to be back in the saddle!
