I'm so glad that it's not cancerous, but I know it's still a worry!

I am still hanging in there - just been crazy busy! I've worked 140 hours the last two weeks and I have another 70+ hour work week ahead of me. It's VBS time and I'm in charge - so I'm pulling up my boot straps and getting through it. I haven't done regular exercise, but I am walking 2+ miles a day around the church grounds as I'm getting ready! LOL! Hope everyone else is doing well!

Fasting blood sugar was 99 this morning. It's my lowest yet. Woohoo. What's strange is that I am finding it's lower if I have a snack before bed. Very strange to eat after dinner!!!!

I have a roast in the crockpot. Will turn leftovers into veggie soup.
I'm getting lots of exercise and energy is increasing!!

All the extra sweat and running around for work must have helped - I'm down another 3 lbs since last week's weigh in.

Woohoo tex!!

I am so confused by my blood sugar. Yesterday I ate a bit to much and even had a couple of bites of a doughnut. Would you believe my sugar was 97 today. Yet on days I eat perfect it's in the 120 to 130s.
Healthy foods planned for today!!

dgramie-- good luck with the blood sugars. My mom is diabetic and I know she would get super frustrated with how her blood sugars never seemed to correspond directly to what she ate.

I'm hanging in there.

Hi all. Have been AWOL and should have been right here.

Deb, I'm glad to hear you're making such great progress. Re: blood sugar, I find I understand mine a lot better if I consider exercise as well as what I ate yesterday. In general, I find that I can get better control over my blood sugar by staying active (30 minutes a day, PLUS not sitting for long uninterrupted periods of time). In fact, this last time I had my A1C checked, I was sure the doc was going to call me in for a lecture because I had been eating really poorly--I mean, binging on sugary stuff every other day--for maybe a month. But I hadn't stopped exercise and guess what--he said my control was so good he didn't even need to see me.

But, of course, this binging business has to stop. Controlling my blood sugar is great, but I still want to lose a LOT more of this weight, and that won't happen unless I control my eating.

Grr I had a long message typed out and it disappeared.
My colon is fine. However yrs of being overweight and eating bad has caused Barrett's esphogus. I never dreamed damage was being done inside my body. Now I have to lose weight and pray it doesn't get worse. Plus take daily meds.
I will hear from the biopsy later next wk.
übee time to get on track!!!

I definitely need a huge kick in the butt. Why is it that I know what to do, but something always gets in the way of me staying on track and reaching my goals. Last year I lost almost 60 pounds. My pain was going away I was feeling so great about myself and then I started noticing my hair was getting really thin. Instead of pressing ahead and figuring out what I was missing in my diet I just quit. I made excuses of why I was changing the way I ate. but I knew deep down I was done. So frustrating.

Angie, I too dropped 60 pounds and my hair started thinning. I changed my diet and it is thicker again. I needed to eat more healthy fats.
Tough love part... you say calorie counting works and it does BUT is it something you can do for the rest of your life??? It is not working if you keep gaining it back.
I'm glad you took the important step of coming back here.
Deb has lost 20 pounds since she got tough on herself. Let's join her!
