Sorry I've been out of pocket. I don't have a computer at home(yup, I'm a weirdo-just on sooo much at work I didn't want one at home), so I typically post first thing in the morning from the office. Was down to 288 on Sunday, which is 7 lbs down in roughly two weeks! Yay!

Coffee is on, an archer farms "carrot cake" blend... Mmmm, smells soooo good. I'm not much of one for sugar in my coffee, but I'll have to have a bit of cream.

I've been doing a loose WW plan, because it helped me lose last time, but I'm too cheap to pay for the plan this time. The "walk of shame"(as I call it) was a good motivator, but I'm thinking this time the forum will help as much as anything.

My three fosters went to new foster homes yesterday. We've typically wound up with some of the "broken" doggies(recovering from surgery, mange, puppy mills, etc.-we even quarantined a pup with parvo in our garage at one time). This time, Val and I had three VERY sweet pups with coccidia and once we got them over it, they went on to different foster homes. It was just stressing our two pups out too much(my pups are in my avatar-Cuda and Kitten). The fosters that went on to new homes were Tictac, Toc, and Tally(the only little girl). They were very, very sweet, but had come from a hoarding situation, so they SCREAMED when it was time for food. Also, they didn't have a concept of AVOIDING poop yet, so we were on constant poop alert so they wouldn't dance in it, LOL(we had them in an exercise pen in the front room so they could be separate from our doggies).

We fostered for about 4 years with no doggies after our old fella passed, and then just had to adopt Cuda and Kitten(Kitten, the tiny 4 lb little girl, is usually the boss, but Cuda, the 5lb little boy, looks like the boss in the pic, LOL). They are siblings, and were part of a group of six that were surrendered to our rescue group. We fostered three of the pups, and decided it was time to adopt our own, so we took the smallest little fella and the smallest little girl from the group.

The pic I think turned out well enough to be in a calendar-we had a local photographer take some family photos, and that was one of them.

Sooo glad to hear that everyone is doing OK, and hope the new storm system doesn't complicate everything too much.

Be safe and good luck this week!

Dean

Great Morning Everyone!
My weight this week stayed the same. I am pleased. I plan to start walking more today. I tried last week but my body told me to take more time to recover. I think it is telling me it is OK to start slowly today. I am really pumped today.
time4me glad to see you. Hang in there.
Dean good job on the loss! Thanks for sharing about your dogs. It all sounds very rewarding.
Erin how is your daughter doing? I hope better. Your date sounds nice and way to go on your loss! That should be good motivation!
Terra I will be thinking of you when I walk today. I like to feel like I am not in this alone.
Sam I get the Tiny House Newsletter and I think it a great way to go. Financial burden is as awful as weight burden in my book.
How is everyone doing?

Ubee - Glad you are listening to your body, thats important for long term-recovery.

Sorry not a lot of personals so tired. Gained and expected to. Was super tired and lethargic but forced myself through all the social stuff but didn't have the energy to do that and resist, tasting some of the yummy treats people made. Ah well.

Silentarctic I know exactly what you mean, I actually panicked a little when I realized that I was getting really close to having so many choices! I have a while to go before I'm out of the plus size sections anyways!

Fi Why on earth would you want to be tall??? It isn't all it's cracked up to be, believe me! Grass is always greener I suppose!

Betsey Nursing a sick loved one is akin to moving mountains, its HARD work! Hope your brother in law feels better soon!

Not quite back on plan yet, I've been out the last two nights. My mom was down and she leaves today, so hopefully I can behave myself until Friday, when I once again have to go out. After that I should be good for about two weeks until the first of March when I take my nephews to the Mickey Mouse concert.

Been a long day! My daughter ended up breaking her bone under her growth plate. So she's now sporting a bright blue cast. Have to take her for a MRI on Friday because she may have also torn a ligament. And now I need someone to get these dang girl scout cookies out of my house! (ordered before I started my new lifestyle) Already enjoyed my limit of them.. (350 calories worth!) Thinking my husbands co worker are going to love me because I am sending them there tomorrow!

I've been sort of blah, mostly focused on churning out letters & postcards for the Month of Letters challenge. Last night I made a collage—actually, a mosaic—out of pieces of photographs taken by a friend of mine, and I was discouraged about how it turned out.

Ever since my Belgian friend pulled the plug on me I've been so paranoid about having a cookie attack that I've been eating very little. I guess that could be a good thing, but when it gets down under 1000 calories a day I worry that my metabolism is slowing way down. I won't know, I guess, until my weigh-in on the 22nd.

I sure am ready for my heartache to be over, but it's not....

Good Morning!
SPRING is coming!!! Next week we may get up to 40 degrees!!
I am feeling mentally energized! It is not just the coffee. But thank God for coffee! I just know this weight is going to come off and stay off.
We are going to a bigger town tomorrow and I told my hubby to pick out where he wants to eat. He went on line to find a place that fits our WOE (Way Of Eating). I'm keeping him!
Fi do you have any plans for your birthday this month?
Erin good job getting all the cookies out of the house. I hope your daughters injury is not more serious.
Silent hang in there. Glad to see you posting. Will you be getting warmer weather next week?
Terra I hope you enjoy your errands today. Are you grocery shopping with your mom? How are the walks going? I got a short one in yesterday.
Jane have fun at the concert. Didn't even know there was such a thing.
How is everyone doing?

Good morning! Still carrying water weight from the trip, but I'm fasting today and probably again Friday, and I'm back on plan, so that should disappear and show some more weight loss soon, hopefully.

I'm staying up too late and not getting enough sleep. This has to stop. I'm too foggy to function, and I know better!

Have a great day everyone!

Checking in again... and had another rough day at work... seriously, just need this week to be over and then we have a 3 day weekend.... Also I think I am coming down with something (I'd say at least 1/2 of the teachers at my school are sick at the moment)....

and I have a test to write and realized I left all my notes at school... *sigh*... and the test is period 1 of course.

Hope you all have a good day!
