Thumbs up Changing the way we eat

Hey Everyone! I am excited to say that I am completely comfortable with the changes I have been making over the past 15 days. I have shakes with a superfood in them for breakfast, really cut back on the carbs (but not eliminate them, I love them too much for that!), and stopped snacking after supper. I am down 10 pounds and 5.5 inches and feel fantastic! I think I am FINALLY in the right mindset to lose this weight forever

What inspires you and keeps you going? I find using my fitness pal is working best for me Also, I have been taking Garcinia Cambogia and it really helps with the cravings.

I am motivated by disgust at my fat self.

If this is your first major diet, then i would be a little more wary than you are. When you have a strong motivated mindset at the beginning that is great and you have had a good start. But there's a long way to go.

Superfoods are not really super foods. Its just a marketing scam to get your money.

If you are having cravings now already, then you may not be eating enough calories. I would increase my calories to combat cravings. I also avoid hunger by eating my meals closer together. Breakfast lunch and dinner typically fall within 9 hour window. I find after dinner, i don't really need food. But if i were to stay up all night i would get hungry.

If i did get hungry, i would drink a cup of coffee, or have something low calorie to eat like a piece of fruit, or even a sandwich, depending on my appetite and circumstances. If you let yourself get too hungry then when you do get around to eating, it may not satisfy you.

goodluck with your weight loos. Don't lose heart just because i am skeptical of things like superfoods. Slow and steady wins the race.

Bravo, Chopper!

I can relate to your post, because there came a moment when I felt as you do, which was being comfortable with the changes I had made and feeling like I finally had the mindset to lose my weight forever.

I am one who does believe in superfoods, and my breakfast is a veggie/fruit smoothie to which I add a protein/greens powder which I now blend myself. I feel no hunger between meals and find very little temptation to eat off plan even though I work in a restaurant. I have cut back on the "bad" carbs but still enjoy my healthy ones.

What keeps me going are the friends I have made here at 3FC. I check in every day and find that is the key to my continued success. I have bad days but as long as I get right back onto my plan it's just a blip in the radar.

I wish you the very best on your journey. Really, once I found my groove losing the weight was not that difficult at all. I feel better now than I ever have.
