Golly Wanna!!! It was just as if you were talking to me!!!! I so didn't want to come here and admit defeat again, but I'm in good-bad company with Katt and maybe a few others on here. I've talked about this with other folks and it just seems even my son, who's not trying to lose weight, says he's been driven to eating like crazy - either really wrong foods or a LOT of food. I am no exception! I've wavered back and forth between 192 - 194, but I know I've been eating poorly and I really don't feel very good (physically) when I do this. My stomach hurts and I'm dragging the next day. I'm still hopeful in believing that once spring is sprung and I'm outdoors everyday, there will be a switch back to prudent eating. Maybe we're like butterflies in cocoons building up our energies for the big "reveal", lol. Idk, but whatever it is, I'll be glad when it's over, sheesh.

Really glad to have you all here to turn to, even when I'm a bad girl, because you DO know what it's like, and you REALLY understand. Looking forward to being more of a cheerleader instead of a whiner, but one more whine . . . I DID have a wonderful day in the garden today except . . . DH asked me to come help him straighten a post with a come along and a tractor and on my way getting a small ladder, I slipped in some moss-covered rug and hurt my thumb and elbow in my dominant hand! I'm tough though and NOTHING (well almost) will keep me from my garden! Starting to take pictures, some to share soon.

Hope you all are well, warm, dry and loved wherever you are.

Hi again all .. well if this is a tropical cyclone .. then darn we have them a lot lol .. the wind has picked up now for sure .. but nothing surprising for us so far .. and finally the rain has started but it hasn't cooled us down any .. walking around in underwear and singlet and still melting .. not to mention the darn flies coming out of lord knows where .. on the plus side they are very slow so even I can whack a few lol ... Finally got my cabinet inside that I am going to be putting our wedding bits in and almost have is set up .. we still need to finish off our Sand Ceremony vessel (need to add MILs sand, the crystals, the white and then seal it) then that will be nicely placed in there permanently, my bouquet needs to go in there .. along with our sand vases as they have our names on them ... will take a pic when I finally have it right

Just thought I would share this pic .. was taken last weekend .. I was standing out of the way while hunny was doing some of the wedding pics etc .. but I like it .. new hair colour (back to my natural) and jacket


WANNA - We are all doing well here, thank you for your prayers .. talked to my mum tonight and the family up in my home town are doing ok too ... a tree went down on the farm, but no other damage And mums garden looks a fright but she is happy its nothing too hard to put right I don't know what the outside of our place looks like .. wind is picking up a little .. but we made sure to put anything moveable away this afternoon anyway
It is definitely a journey and the lessons never stop coming. I think looking at my original food diaries from last year that I was really too strict on myself for too long .. never really gave myself any leeway and that is not something that should be done on any plan unless it allows for a wide variety .. at least Im thinking that is why this week was just so easy to fly off on a broom. I had a lot of foods I haven't had for MONTHS ... so Im going to review my plan and try to incorporate something every couple of weeks of those ones I had cut out so I don't feel the need to binge on everything I have missed out on lol. Its a lifestyle change not a diet and I really need to make it better balanced. So will take whatever the gain is this week (Im estimating about 6 pounds I think ) and use it as a tool to get back on track and remember where I have been and where Im going. Around 5 weeks to my birthday so will be trying my darndest to get my goal .. and if I don't .. it will just make me more determined to get it right by the end of the next challenge

DORA - Aww hunny .. don't be shy to come on in .. sometimes the journey isn't even about the scale (so don't let that hold you back) .. but more about learning more about yourself .. learning to like yourself, accept your choices, embrace the challenges and grow your soul. I have said it before and I am sure I will say it again another time .. but life is NOT about loving yourself .. its about liking yourself .. that is usually a harder thing to do on a daily basis ... its like I can love someone, but it doesn't mean I like them lol .. and if I don't like them .. I tend to avoid them. We are all on the journey, all at different places, all learning different lessons, all facing different challenges .. .but one thing we all have in common .. is we understand the road ... we may not have travelled the same path you have reached .. but we know what point we are on and know that all we need is someone to accept us as we are, encourage us when we fall behind, and embrace us when we hurt or succeed So big Kiwi Hugs to you

Well .. nowhere near as bad as I expected .. so grateful for that ... we have going vegetarian for dinner tonight ... with cheese lol ... so yum .. didn't think my hunny would be happy with that .. but even he is missing my old cooking of lots of veges and fruits and not a lot of meat or dairy or bread ... next week will be better

Dora.. I do feel like we all sometimes go thru the same things - together!.. I am so lucky I found this web site a year ago! I know I would never have made it this far if I had not. Because of you all... I stay with it and when I stray - I get back on the wagon/horse. I send you hugs for support.. Just remember (as you know already) that if it is not a good day..eating wise or other.. well tomorrow is a new start. Happy to be here with you!

NightKatt.. I hope that your whole family survived and are safe and sound (and have power! That is always the hard part.. After the storm passes it gets really hot and when you don't have AirConditioning.. YIKES! I remember taking a shower outside with my garden hose! LOLOLOL) and LOOK at you.. being bad and shoot.. hardly any damage! Good that you are getting back into the saddle again.

So I gained 6 pounds this week. I am hoping 12 of that is water weight.

Dora your post about your son really helped me. I just gave in and enjoyed myself. Last night I finally realized that things are back in balance again. I am an all or nothing person and I have to work with it everyday. Just because I needed to find balance does not mean all is lost. I learned I can be naughty and have too much fun, jump in the confessional and get back on track.
On to Day 1! Happy St. Patties Day!

Hello everyone ..well .. if that was as much of a tropical storm as we were going to get .. then Im disappointed lol .. I must be a storm chaser because I was really excited .. mind you I love storms .. and earthquakes ... I must be a nut So all well here
Started again yesterday .. had some toast and coffee for breakfast (starting to introduce a little bit of bread into my diet to help boost my carbs and fibre a little) ... but then I sort of crashed again .. finished off the last of the chocolate ... and then hunny brought home fish and chips ... but its my Monday treat day so it was enjoyed and not felt bad about lol.
Today has been better so far ... big bowl of Special K Advantage cereal with a pottle of yoghurt and a coffee ... lunch was late (about 3pm lol) and it was a nut bar ... only because its getting close to dinner I didn't want to eat a lot or I wouldn't want to eat my veges ... which is what we are having for dinner .. no meat night .. but will make a cheese sauce so my hunny doesn't feel too hard done by lol ..
Got onto the treadmill today for the first time in almost 2 weeks .. had to take it slow because my back is out again (its getting very annoying) but I was really pleased with how I did .. hunny only wanted me to do like 10 min at a time .. but I did 45 minutes and managed to get just over 2 miles (3.3km) .. so as I have less than 2 weeks before my 5km Colour run I am happy that even with my back I should still be able to get it done in an hour or less if I push a little harder (mind you I don't know how I will react to all the colour getting tossed at me .. if I will slow down or what lol .. so this could effect the speed and time ...)

So as I said .. Dinner is veges - got a great bag full of goodies from my home town so cooking up a bunch tonight - brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, courgettes, carrots, potato, cabbage ... maybe a little red & yellow capsicum too if I decide to stir fry the courgettes instead of steaming them ... and then a home-made cheese sauce for protein and fats ...


WANNA - What a great whoosh!! You are fantastic at those Yep power back up and running and those flies are getting very annoying .. but had a lovely warm shower and feel refreshed and ready to finish my day

WATCH - Hot Dawg!! Look at you! Definitely kicked TOM to the kerb this time round lol .. fantastic job Definitely no leaving us now lol .. start on your next goal if you have one .. get a head start on the next challenge

UBEE - You make me giggle ... lil sinner that you are hehehe. Well .. that 6 pounds was obviously feeling like you needed them so came to comfort you .. now you just need to let them know that they can comfort you from a distance in the future Thank you for the compliment .. Im almost to the weight I was when hunny and I met 12 years ago ... so hopefully he is thinking the same thing lol.



Back to my cross stitch .. almost finished my mini bead kits unfortunately so hopefully I will be able to get some more soon .... but definitely need to start getting dinner ready

Katt - you do GREAT WORK!... They look wonderful I too do Cross stitch.. it was my craft hobby in my 20's. I think I have some of those House patterns too.. they look familiar! HHMMMMM Maybe after I finish this baby blanket (crochet).. I will dig a X-stitch outta my closet and work on one. Have you ever Needlepointed? But doing the "other" stitches?

I am still hit & miss with the French Knot .. the first few look right .. the rest are crap lol ... my granny tried teaching me the finer needlepoint, but with my limited eyesight it was very hard for me to do without getting headaches ... as it is now I can't do any finer than 14-16 count .. which really I am grateful for cos at least I can still do it at all When I was growing up I used to do spinning (wool lol) and hook rugs ... granny also tried teaching me knitting, tatting & crochet ... yeah .. well .. they didn't take lol .. although I can sort of knit .. I can do the basic and the pearl .. but I can't cast on or off so at the moment my needles hold a scarf that is about 12 feet long now lol .. I do a little every now and then just to remind myself how to do it I took up cross stitch when I quit smoking 12 years ago to keep my hands busy .. I definitely prefer counted to having one that has the picture on the material ... and Im not fond of the doing them with wool rather than cotton .. my mum does the wool ones with like long stitches and cross ... hate the wool lol .. would rather do it with the cotton strands .. looks finer Im going to try to find my other ones that I had in a box somewhere and take their pics to add to my album .. will have a hunt after my walk

Im now getting into a morning routine .. up early to get breakfast for my hunny before he goes to work .. nice to sit there in the morning, listen to the news and discuss the day coming up ... then off he goes, I tidy the kitchen (leave the dishes for after lunch) and settle down on the couch to stitch for a bit while catching up on some of my recorded crime shows (Crime Channel addict lol), put on any washing that we might have .. then about mid morning check online for a bit .. and now Im heading for the treadmill .. trying to fit in 30-45 min every couple of days (if not daily) .. then I will get lunch for me and the dogs, clean up the kitchen, get the bin in, hang out the washing and carry on stitching or Im thinking about baking today .. but haven't decided on the afternoon plan .. but the mornings are becoming routine .. and boy am I getting bored!!!! If we had a garden I would probably be out in it killing the plants (yes a black thumb lol) .. never get a chance to do the lawns (probably because I broke the last 3 lawn mowers that we had ... oops) and Im running out of things do to to the house .. now instead of spending hours each day getting everything sorted I am limiting myself to one or two jobs a day or I will really have nothing to do lol ... sigh .. still applying for jobs but no luck so far .. still .. Im sure something will come up soon Fortunately the weekends are always busy .. well .. at least they have been since the wedding lol ... we are looking forward to a weekend off to spend together at home some time in April I think we have blocked off a weekend for no bookings or plans

So have a good day all ... its funny ... on FB I find it hard to natter or babble any more .. I just don't feel understood I suppose, but on here I do .. so thank you all for skimming over or commenting on my babble .. makes my day brighter for sure
