Christmas Challenge anyone??

  • I know .. you are probably thinking "CHRISTMAS???!!!", but really its not as far away as I thought it was .. and I actually am only challanging to the end of November ... but it gives us a little leeway to take it through to Christmas.

    I have a second reason for doing this Challenge .. I need to reach my second goal (which is just a step on my journey) before my wedding which is on the 11th December .. gives me enough time for final dress fittings lol. So my starting weight is actually from last Monday when I started this (18 weeks to wedding day!! (plus a day or two lol) .. so I have to target about 2.2 pounds a week minimum ..

    So who wants to join in? Would love you to join me .. will have weigh ins (updates) on Mondays if that is ok for everyone .. this way it also gives you a chance to read this and join in from tomorrow Or whenever!! If you want to start in the middle of the week .. no prob .. just adjust the weigh in dates

  • Me me me!!!! Congrats on your engagement!! I lost a good chunk of weight went back to my home country and put on a bunch which seems to be stuck to me right now. Need some motivation as am going back in
    Jan so want to shift some before my mother in law stuffs me again (er....all her fault...def....nothing to with me!) monday weigh in on monday is fine by me!

  • I also will join you. First weigh-in tomorrow, but not really starting seriously until the 26th when my kids will be back at school. My goal is to lose 45 pounds. ( a little more than 2.5 pounds a week).

  • Count me in, I love a long term challenge! My official weigh-ins are on Saturday, so I will weigh in a couple days early. My weight loss has slowed significantly, so I'm going to set my goal conservative at 30 pounds. I'm shooting for 2 pounds per week, with a break worked in for my birthday in October and Disneyland trip in early December.

    Since you already had the dates in I put my weight from last Monday in. I have been steady On Plan all week so I am ready to go. I really need this to get my motivation up!!! I am doing great on plan and walking every day but it seems like my scale is not moving. I hope this will jump start my weight loss again.

    Superhero Teacher - Wahoo .. LOVED Disneyland .. mind you that was 9 years ago lol .. and I was a little smaller then .. but I dont think size mattered there .. I was a kid again regardless I think its great you have allowed yourself that release too

    Pjvw34 - I know what you mean about the scales .. sometimes you may find a week or two with no movement .. I remember seeing someone didnt move for over a month! But its just a case of reminding yourself its not always about the loss in weight .. its also about how much better you feel for the changes you have made and the successes you have already had

    Cheeriloos - It is a little exciting .. I remember a few years ago (when I started this journey on 3FC) that the Xmas challenge didnt really start until Oct/Nov .. definitely not long enough to feel like I had officially done anything towards my goal by Xmas lol .. so a good reason to give at least 4 months to work on it

    So here we go ... weigh in tonight for me .. and I am excited ... and fearful lol .. my hunny said I should weigh in this morning .. but that wouldnt be right and accurate .. I weighed myself before dinner last week .. so going to do the same this week and every week. On the plus side I have realised I havent had a single piece of chocolate/chocolate bar or cookie ALL WEEK!! That is something I cannot remember going without for longer than a day or two .. my new mantra when I am tempted is "WEDDING DRESS" lol .. seems to be working lol

    I dont know anything about my wedding .. my hunny is doing ALL of it .. including getting the dress etc .. I just need to put it on .. get in whatever car he sends me and go to wherever it is lol .. at least he told me the date lol ... so maybe the lack of control and stress of that will help me control my weight and temptation on this challenge
