I posted in the off topic thread that I hurt my ankle pretty bad.

But I'm posting in this thread asking how am I supposed to exercise with a hurt ankle when I can hardly even walk on it. I usually do the dance game on Xbox kinect.

Moral of this post.. what exercise's are good when you can barely stand. I know sit ups.. But who likes to do those. LOL

Posted in 300+ thread because lets face it.. It's really difficult to exercise when your this weight.. and with hurt ankle it's nearly impossible. To me anyway.

Have you tried Pilates? There are a lot of moves that don't require you to bear weight on your ankles. You could still do some upper body weights, as well.

What happened to your ankle? I hope it heals soon!

No I haven't.. i'll look into it.

My nephew (has Cerebral Palsy) was throwing a fit so I had to try and get him to calm down.. He stomped on my ankle/foot. He weighs at least 65lbs if not more.

Pilates is definitely a good one to try, there are a lot of exercises that don't rely much on you being on your feet

fractured my foot a few weeks ago and am in the same boat.

We have Netflix and they have a few exercise videos that are core only, or working the butt/thighs. A lot os it is on the floor, so I have been doing that.

Hope that you heal quickly!

TBH if it was me I would... decrease my calorie allowance for the decreased cardio.

Do some pilates, any of the excercises that don't involve putting weight on your food anyhow.

Also seated arm excercises with dumbells, bice curls, hammer curls, tricep work...

When desperate (it was stormy and I couldn't get to the gym) I used my excercise bike with my hands it wasn't the best work out (and was sort of tricky to balance myself the right way to do it. But you can definitely get creative if you need to.

I honestly don't think your going to be getting the same cardio intensity that you are use to from your other workouts but its better to stay somewhat active.

Also for the situps, don't just do what you think of as a traditional sit up, if you can varry it maybe it won't seem as borring? Do them in rotating sets of 8...
