Default Exercise!

Good morning, everyone.

I currently weigh 354 pounds and have begun to eat healthier as of 2 weeks ago. This time around I'm trying to make a true lifestyle change, meaning exercise included. Today will be day 3 that I do the 30 day shred and it is completely kicking my ***! I burn and hurt, but I enjoy the feeling.

Has anyone else at my weight had success with the 30 day shred?

Are there any other videos that have helped you?

I live in Florida so walking outside sucks, especially since it's getting increasingly humid and hot. I cannot do gyms because 1) I don't like them 2) I don't want to spend the money on a memberships. I have an elliptical at home but after 15 minutes on the thing, I get bored. Videos seem to work best for me!

I tried the 30 day shread and it kicked my butt! I had to modify it A LOT to make it through. I did however, like her Last chance workout. It was a little easier for me to do. I also like the Leslie Sansome Walk Away the Pounds videos. I do the 3 mile walk. The other videos I like (But they are cheesy) are the old Richard Simmons Sweating to the oldies. The other thing is If I were you I would still do the elliptical a few times a week even if it is just 15 minutes. It will give your muscles a different workout than the videos and 15 minutes is still good. Good luck. I hope you find something you enjoy.

I have never tried the 30 day shred, it looked scary!

I've modified all of the programs I recorded, high impact things tend to hurt my knees. But hey, moving is moving. If it gets me sweating, I'm happy.

Im to scared to do the 30 day shred~ Maybe when Im down to 250 or so I can, it might be easier on my knees and ankles. Good for you tell us how it goes when you're down Im excited to hear how the results!

I go to the gym, we have a great gym here called "crunch" it's all new machines, its huge! they offer free classes like zumba and tredmill shreds and the motto is "No judgements" it's also 9.99 a month! I've also found out that belly dancing videos on youtube are fun to do and are amazing workout for your core~

I always liked Richard Simmons. I know a lot of people think he is annoying, but I find it fun.

"30 Day Shred" is rated as "advanced" at collage. I've watched it but thought "Oy!" and put it aside as too far up for me right now.

I usually suggest Kim Lyon for beginners and the highest I do myself right now is Ellen Barett SELF: Bikini Ready Fast (intermediate)

I suggest cruising collage to find more titles at your level.

You can borrow at library or buy elsewhere but I find their clips/ratings are spot on.

id also suggest trying Debra Mazda. She has an awesome step workout video!! But also be sure to incorporate some toning...I've started it about 3 weeks ago and i can really tell a difference!

I have not heard of these before but will look into them. I am doing the Shawn T Insane workout that is on the Dr Oz website. It is only 15 minutes and of course I modify it. I figure that once I am able to do his workout without feeling like I am going to die then I will try more than 15 minutes.
Baby steps are better than no steps at all for me.
I love Richard Simmons but lost all of my tapes when I moved <sigh>.
