Rach,
Yeah I am alittle disappointed about there being no loss. I am right at the 100 lb mark and can taste it but but my body wants to tease me. Its only 15 more lbs to go but I need to do something to lose it. Hopefully spring is right around the corner and I can get outside and enjoy nature with my walking.
Goodnuff,
When I eat out thats where I gain most of my weight back or get my water weight. Are you asking waitress and waiters for no salt? How about you make a goal to no eating out or making wiser choices? It helped the whole month of January not going out to eat maybe it will do the same for you. Congrats on the exercise I wish I had your motivation right now.
TW:
Congarts on the 1 lb loss. Thanks for the vote of encouragment also.
Lynn

Hey you guys! I'm here. I'm tracking my calories. Weigh in tomorrow. I figure I'll be down another pound, we shall see tomorrow. I should be slamming the water, but I'm just not feeling it today. I'm having pizza for supper tonight too, hmm, guess I'd better go fill up my water bottle.

Good morning!
Welcome SweetNicole, I'm very glad to see you here! Your goals sound very realistic. It's pretty quiet around here, but the ladies are really supportive. It's nice.
I hear you on the junk food, it's so easy to eat the crap food. And believe me, I still do treat myself, but it's been five months since I ate a honey bun for breakfast & had cheetos for morning snack. Now I keep fiber bars & bananas in my desk drawer at work. I mean, those are small things that I've changed, but combining several small things has been working for me.
I calorie count, and it's important (to me) to leave room in my daily plan for a treat of some kind. In the beginning, I saved enough calories for a bowl of cereal and milk at night. I just started measuring my cereal and milk, so that I learned how much cereal is one serving. Anyway, I said all that, to say again, WELCOME, stick around!!
Goodnuff - how you doing? Back in the work routine? Are you all recovered from your surgery now?
TW - I'm glad you've been able to let go a little. That is something I struggle with daily. Letting go of the things I cannot control. Phew, easier said than done, but you know what, so is weight loss, and I'm doing that. How was your weigh in? Oh & I am working feverishly to figure the formula for calorie 'debits'.
Lynn - Every time I log on, I'm so happy to see that you've been here too! I'm just so glad you're sticking around, if that doesn't define commitment, I don't know what does. I mean, I know you've been so down about your weight loss, and you're frustrated because you're not making forward progress. But you're still here, and you will succeed, because you have not given up. Yay Lynn!!

Oh my goodness tw, letting go and letting God are hard for most of us. Seems when we do though life just gets easier. I hope you had an enjoyable dinner with your friend.
Lynn, there is always, always room for improvement in the food department for me. Especially at restaurants. I might get there more often someday.
So rachael, did you get water logged yesterday?
WelcomeSweetNicole!
I'm getting into the groove of working night shifts. The first week went well. No tummy or sleep issues. Last night, not so much. The Pig didn't sleep well with me yesterday. Then I made the huge, HUGE mistake of eating a large bowl of bean soup before I went in. I had bad tummy pains and it reminded me how miserable I was at the end if my last night shift stint four years ago. Gotta be more careful!
I have gotten in all kinds of activity the last three days, only 37 to go!

Hey y'all, I'm here. Tracking calories at 100% for 11 days. Yay! I have a migraine today, so I'm ready to go home & climb in the bed.
goodnuff - no, sadly, I did not hit my water goal yesterday, and today's not looking great either. I'm sorry you were hurting last night, but I have to admit, I did kind of giggle at the thought of your major gas while you were making your rounds. I hope your tummy is all better today.
I hope you all have a great weekend.

Hi, I'm new. Well, starting in March I am hoping to lose 10 lbs a month, but for the rest of this month, these are my goals:
1. Work out to WATP video at least 3 x a week
2. Stay under 2000 calories a day
3. Drink less soda and more diet soda and especially water
4. Track my weight (something I don't usually do, just got a scale for the 1st time in years)
5. Become actively involved in this forum

Welcome Viper! Nice to have you here.
Sorry that you're not doing well lynnie, it really does get hard sometimes more than others. I just keep reminding myself that I'm in this for life, never going to give up but I may need a break every now and then.
Hope your migraine is gone rachael, yay on you for tracking 100%!

Good morning! I am here. I tracked all weekend. I went over my calories by 1000 Saturday. BUT, I routinely go under Tues-Thurs & I averaged my calories for the week & I was at 1400, so I'm doing great. I made a new thread about my exciting NSV, I bought some size 22 jeans at LB this weekend, freaking awesome. That helped my food choices for the rest of the weekend. I'm allowing myself one more (giant) cup of coffee today, then I'm switching to water & flushing away some more fat.
goodnuff - thanks, I get ocular migraines, which always freak me out, cause they mess up my vision before the headache part hits. Makes it really hard to stare at a computer for work. Anyway, it only lasted one day, so I'm thankful for a short headache.
Lynn - I'm sorry. Hugs for you. Just stick around here at least. goodnuff has the right idea, we're in this for life, a break isn't the end of the world, or your efforts. You'll get your mojo back.
Welcome VaporChick, glad to meet you! Your goals sound good!

Happy Valentines Day Everyone!
Rachaelm: Congrats on the tracking, you are doing awesome. Are you sure 1400 isn't too low?
Goodnuff: Sounds like things are going well for you. That's great!
Lynnie: Sorry you're struggling. I understand. Hope today is a good day for you.
SweetNicole and VaperChick, I hope you are each having a fabulous week too!

Yuck rachael, that sounds painful. I'm glad it was short lived.
Hey tw, how are you? I am doing ok,I'm trying to live a life that is not dependent on any numbers...scale, points, calories. It's working!
Hope you all are doing great. I leave for North Carolina Thursday for vacation. Looking forward to some warm weather, delicious food and time with friends.

I'm a little late but I need to state my goals!
I will go to the gym minimum of 4 times a week (4 cardio sessions, 2 strength training lower body).
I will abstain from starches and sugars which I know will make me feel awful and aggravate my PCOS
and I will take my vitamins everyday!
2 weeks of this starting today. Am going to go finish my homework at a cafe, then go to the gym, then go to class. I will come home late (9:30ish) but will only eat dinner and 2 chocolates from V-day along with a cup of tea.
Lunch today will be complicated but I won't cheat. Cheating just makes me feel physically and mentally awful.

TW!! Yay, I'm glad to hear from you. Aww, thanks for caring about my numbers, but according to livestrong.com, 1433/day was my daily calorie goal for two pounds lost a week. I did adjust that to lose 1.5#/week, which bumped my daily calories back up to 1600. I'd rather have some 'wiggle room' IYKWIM. You did make me go back & check my calories though, but I think this was just an exceptionally good week for me with my calories.
I was right on target yesterday, after indulging in the Valentine's day candy DH gave me.
You know why I love calorie counting? Cause I ate two chocolate turtles and three pieces of Russell Stovers assorted & didn't blow my goal for the day. Granted, supper was light, but man, what a nice treat/payoff!!
Migraines do suck goodnuff, but I am grateful they have subsided since I've gotten older. I usually only get one once a month or so, and they used to be a lot more frequent. Blech.
I hope you have a great trip to North Carolina, that sounds like fun!
Hey Lynn, SweetNicole, and VaporChick!!! How ya doing today?

Good morning. I am here. I tracked. I drank my water. I stayed under calories. No loss this week. I gained .8 pounds. *sigh* I am telling myself this is the evil scale flucutations. No biggie, right? It is amazing how frustrating that scale can be. Oh well, I'll stay on track & I'll have a good loss for next week.
