I hope you are all having a wonderful, on plan day.

My positive for today is that I lost a pound this week. That's positive on it's on, but it's also TOM, so I was pleased at no gain.
WTG!!!! Its hard to lose during TOM but you did thats a wonderful positive.

Change, I thought the same thing the last time I was at the grocery store. Actually, I was kind of proud of the contents of my cart.
Wow, eight different kinds of fruits and veggies, and lots of fish & chicken.

I guess it's pretty sad, but I used to wonder if people looked at my large self grocery shopping & thought, "No wonder, look at that junk in her cart"

Default Yeah Baby!

OK...this might be a bit long, but I don't know how to tell you this without giving you some details.

When I started this weight loss journey I bought a 2 year planner, and filled out my "expected" or "hoped for" weight loss in code...just using the last 2 numbers (like 98 instead of 298) on the week I was aiming to be 298 (I couldn't bear put the real numbers in there for fear my family would see!) I know, how silly.

Anyway. I checked my "status" a week or so ago, and saw I was several pounds behind schedule, but comforted myself with "well, you're doing great, and eating healthy and it doesn't really matter what the numbers say, cause you're staying on plan. It is what it is"

So, I look again today to chart my progress, and I'm confused. Something is wrong. What happened?

Now I've lost a few pounds MORE than hoped for or predicted. ????

Turns out when I checked it a week ago, I was looking at 2012 calendar instead of 2011!! So THOSE 2 numbers were for when I (might) weigh one hundred something....LOL.

SO...surprise surprise! I'm not only on target but I'm doing better than I charted!

I know that the scale won't always be so friendly, but for now it's a great boost!

I did 40 minutes of cardio this morning! I am usually not as keen to exercise on the weekends but am trying to keep up my motivation.

I'm so excited to see how much more energy I have these days. When I first started using my exercise bike, I could barely do 15 minutes at level 5. Now I can do 30-40 minutes at level 11. So nice to see progress, not just on the scale, but in how much I can do!

My positive thing: I've figured out a system for drinking all the water I'm supposed to. Of course, I have a hour less time in my day for all my trips to the bathroom, but the bright side: Some extra alone time!

BTW...I'M MISSING EVERYONE!!!

Well Girls, I am back. I fell off the wagon but on a good note I did loose, I got up to 325 and am down to 311, all that matters is that I came back and am starting over. My mom has been diagnosed with Alzheimers , she is only 56. I am feeling guilty as I had moved right before they diagnosed her, I am in San Diego now living with my soon to be husband, also on a positive note I am taking online classes for medical billing and coding. Wish me luck and I think I am here to stay this time. I have missed you all and will try to catch up later.

Default Hovering

Don't know what it is...but I just love getting under a "decade". (for lack of a better word). I'm just hovering at 290.2. Can NOT wait to see 289! Such a sense of accomplishment to see that tens place number go down.

Here for the long haul...no matter how long it takes. Never been so determined in my life.

1 for each 5 pounds lost

I got on the scale this morning and lo and behold I have lost two more lbs. Not sure what I am doing other than eating lesser portions and eating six times a day and going to bed at tenpm and getting up at eight am, so yep maybe that is what is doing it. I feel really good right now.

hey lovely ladies!!!! I am enjoying my days off but I am wanting to do something so bad. I have no money and to top it all off I have to go to the doctors today. Yeah I have some kinda rash on my belly and it wont go away with any over the counter treatments. My positive for today is I weighed myself even though its not my time to do so and I was back down to 295 so that made me feel great. I will weigh myself again this weekend to see if there is any further loss.

Have a great day ladies and remember to SMILE!!!

Lynn

Good morning all!

I hope you are all having a great day.

My postive for today is that I am down 20 pounds. Yay!!

Lynn - I hope the dr can give you a nice cream to make your rash go away. Ouch. I am so glad the weight went back down, but I'll bet it was just a water weight thing from all of the working you've been doing.

TracyB - yay for two more pounds! Small sustainable lifestyle changes are definitely the way to go. Keep up the great work!

Change4life - Woohoo! You are really working hard! I am proud of your losses! Did you hook up your Wii yet? I'm jealous, I want one! LOL

MapleLeaf - Wow, 40 minutes of cardio is a lot! It is amazing what our bodies can do, right?? I love feeling strong after a work out too.
