Vortex, I would go with the extra seat too. I've got a vacation coming up in September and it's a lot cheaper to get 2 seats in coach than 1 seat in First Class, and it's a pain to have to call them directly, but it's worth it. Good luck!

Today is OP with calories, I've gone back to planning my food a day in advance and that has helped so much. Even got a little VERY low impact exercise in for 2 days now. I credit all the fluffy towels after I dove in the water last week!

Slowly getting back to clean eating - guess to some extent it's a good thing to have a head cold - don't feel like eating much.

We have our big Christmas celebration tomorrow - need to get the house in order today.

Stay strong!

Just downloaded firefox and wow its great! I had sure missed getting on here every morning during my coffee time. Thanks Carol for telling me about it! I can tell it works great!!
Went to the dr yesterday and was really fussed at for taking over the counter cold meds. Dr said some of my weight was fluid caused from my bp being so high. She put me on a water pill for a week. Im on a strong antibotic and was told to eat with it. I will be sure I eat healthy and try and get some of this weight off. It crushed me to see the scales go back over 250. It was just a bit over 2yrs ago I was in the two teens. Oh well it is what it is....and now I have to get it off.
Buying a new notebook to journal food and exercise and blood pressure and weight in for me and hubby both.

I haven't been able to post or do anything on here since Christmas. Thank goodness we are back to normal.

At least the site is working!

I am trying to get myself back to clean eating, not easy!

I hate using this laptop! GRR! Keep hitting the wrong keys. My fingers are fat!!

Have a wonderful op day girls.

Glad you can get on Ruth. I’ve tried on and off all day and have not succeeded until now.

I’ve been fighting food demons for a couple days, I’ve got to either start packing a lunch if I’m going to be out at lunchtime or forcing myself to be at home at the lunch hour. I’ve been eating it too late, or not eating it at all which then leaves me open to bad choices. GRRR!

Just in case 3FC freezes me out on the weekend ........

Enjoy your celebrations.
Remember your friends far and near.
Try to stick to your program or, at least have a damage control plan in place.

Happy New Year!

so glad I listened to Carol and downloaded firefox. Its to nice to be able to get on the site with no problems. I had sure missed everyone here!!
Food has been so so. Nothing tastes right so no real reason to eat much. I do feel some better today and hoping it improves from here. I sure dont understand how all that crud can fit in your head!! my blood pressure is still running too high. If its not better on tuesday I have to call the dr and we may try a med change. I am mad at myself because I know my weight is playing a huge part in my blood pressure problem. All I can do is get it off!

We arent doing anything special tonight so Im not worried about food today. I will have a glass of wine tonight at some point. Tomorrow Im fixing cabbage and polish sausage and blackeye pea. I will enjoy it at lunch but eat a sensible plate and stop.
So anyone have exciting plans tonight?
I guess our biggest plans are to watch UK vs Louisville today. Go Cats!

Hi All,
Deb, big plans for tonight...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! I will sleep in the new year as I have done for years.LOL! My party days ended a long time ago. Never did drink, so they were very tame parties. The strongest thing for me was a cola. I am so dull!

Have a very safe and happy new year. Big hugs, Ruth

Hey, all, happy new year!

Did I mention I've been trying to learn to powerwalk? I know I need to do it because it's so danged hard. Right now I can only maintain the "gut-sucked-in-glutes-tensed-still-breathing-head-and-chest-up" posture and walk for about 60 seconds max. Yikes! I know I need core strengthening, though, and I'd like to be able to really walk when I'm in cities, so I'm going to try to build up my stamina for it. Anyone else do power walking?

Here's to a great year for all of us in 2012!

Angela
