Here's how it works: Everyone of us has wellness goals. Break those goals up into small, achievable steps and challenge yourself to meet your goals by the end of the month. They can be a number of pounds lost; please keep it reasonable and safe, dietary goals, goals to change your mindset, etc. Let's all support and encourage each other on this life long journey. Don't get discouraged if you don't meet your goal, just keep on challenging yourself.
1. Intentionally drink at least 3 glasses of water (in addition to other regular water/liquid consumption) a day. Every Day.
2. Average daily calories for the month under 1900.
3. At least 12 hours in the pool for the month.
4. Carbs under 200g at least 10 days for the month.
These goals are not a stretch my any means, so there is no excuse for not making them.
Ummm? I don't know what my goal is? Although I still need to work on the same old same old I want to do smething new, and maybe even exciting. So for now my goal is to have a goal by Sunday!
Btw, down -2.2 today so I'm entering all new territory...the 270's! That just sounds crazy!
OMG!!! Goodnuff, that is AWESOME!!! WAY TO GO! I am SOOOO happy for you. Way to go. I bet you are glad you went to that meeting now. :-)
I'm not sure of my goals either. I mean my "big" goal for the moment is to get out of these 260's but other than that I am not sure. Definately drink 8 glasses of water a day and make better choices food wise but byond that I will have to think. I leave for vacation in the morning and I plan on having lots of seafood but I also plan on being pretty good and just hope not to gain weight this week. Once I get back I will focus on losing. Have a great week.
1. Lose 10 lbs.
2. Have more self control when i get my period! (This one is tough because i get so moody and just give in and eat junk)
3. Exercise in some way 5 times a week.
1. 1. Lose 10 pounds.
2. Hit the gym at least 3 times each week.
3. Get back to the rink and get skating.
4. Cut carbs. Counting calories as it is, but the carbs are out of control.
5. Eat more fiber.
Okay, after much deliberation I've decided what I want t accomplish this month:
~decrease gluten to once a day until vacation
~eliminate gluten after vacation
~gain less than 5 pounds during vacation (I'm not talking fat, I'm talking weight. There's going to be plenty of cocktails, salty food and flying to ensure water weight)
~be back to pre-vacation weight by October 6th.
How's everyone doing one week into the month?
This gluten thing is hard right now but because I've been eating it and in turn feeing like crap I know it's what I need to do. Why is it so hard to treat our bodies' well?
1. Don't be lazy on Sundays!!! Do something AcTiVe with the kids EvErY Sunday, which is now known as Sunday FuNdAy!!! Active Sunday has been a success!! So far, LOL!!
2. Get outside more!! Get fresh air and sunshine. Spend at least an half an hour outside 3 times a week. I would say if you add up all the min here and min there I am meeting this goal, but that was not what I intended, so far I would call this a big FAIL ... but still trying!!
3. Continue all last months goals and don't slip, and if you do slip recognize and get back up!!!
Good here .. I would almost call them habits now ... WhAt?? I made some good habits .... go me!!!
Go you! is right So!!!
I've done good with th decreased gluton the last two days and feel better because of it!
Went for a walk this morning and it felt good, I haven't walked since mid August, no excuses other than pure laziness.
I'm back!!!
Goodnuff: Decreasing Gluten is hard work. Glad you are feeling positive effects of it. Great job on the walk too.
I had a FABULOUS vacation and let my "inner child" play a little too hard but boy it was fun! Now I have to get back to reality (in all areas of my life)! No more all nighters, no more drinking (or at leat not without counting it), no more bad food choices. I have to sleep, drink water, and make good food choices that will help me acheive my weighloss goals. I stepped on the scale this morning for the first time in more than 2 weeks and it was up 5 pounds. I am hoping that is not "real" weight gain and I am back down really soon.
So Determined: Looks like you are doing pretty well. Keep it up. We can do this.
How are you ilbnej?
The boards seem really slow. I hope everyone is doing well.
1. Finish the Race for the Cure 5k in under 1 hour on Saturday (9-17-11)
