panty question
TMI ALERT: So, now that I've lost weight in my butt and not so much in my stomach my underwear don't fit right. They are loose in the butt and crotch. I bought new ones in a smaler size but still the same issue. Any brand/ style suggestions from anyone with a pendulous belly? I've tried JMS and Fruit of the Loom, so anything but those.

I've been buying undies from Lane Bryant since high school. They've never failed me.

I prefer the bikini style the most, because I can somewhat adjust where the sides are, but I also like the hipster and boycut.
The reasons I prefer those kinds, is because some of the more "brief/highcut" shaped underpants sit up too high and if I bend over people get a nice view of my undies... no thanks!
Here's an example of the type I usually like: Bikini Style (Just not the funky patterns so much.)

This makes me giggle, because I'm remembering having the same problem and how much I felt like a little kid with my panties drooping off my bum. I think plus sized clothes in general are built pretty weird, and it's not unusual for them to become awkward as we lose weight. I wish I had a better solution for you, but I just bought tighter panties!

I also have a big belly compared with my butt, thighs, waist except I'm much bigger than you are... If you're okay with a granny-panty style, the most comfortable and stay-uppity I've found is the 3-Pack Tag Free Brief Panty by Comfort Choice® Item #: 0514-93084-1044 on OneStopPlus dot com they go all the way down to size 7. Several other sites sell them too... And they really are nicely stretchy so after measuring yourself if you fall in between sizes, I suggest ordering next smaller size.
Congrats on the weight loss!

Bikini style, hipsters, thongs and anything low rise. Lane Bryant and Avenue have rarely ever failed me. (TMI: Commando has never failed either.) I trend to prefer cotton nine times out of ten.

HAH I have had the same problem. I have been buying Lane Bryant undies since I was 16 years old. I had no idea that you could get underpants in cheap packs from places like Target and Walmart until I too suffered from the flappy-seat syndrome you described.
I bought a couple of packs of Hanes from Target in the appropriate size and everything is staying neatly packaged now. I think I got 8 pairs for 9 bucks or something. My frugal little heart skipped a beat 'cos I have been paying $5+ a pair for 20 years.

I don't know what brand they are...but I get the one's at Walmart that have the different colored bands around the legs and waist. They usually have some kind of saying or picture on them, but I have found them plain too. They are more of a boycut. I think they may be no boundaries brand...they're the ones on the hangers and not in the package....(I think they're almost $3 a pair though).

First - at "pendulous belly"
Yes, ma'am, I'm familiar (and I may just have to steal that perfect description).
A few years ago I stumbled on Lane Bryant undergarments and I love them. They are usually 5 for $30 and some times of the year on clearance they are even cheaper (though sometimes you can only find some of the uglier prints, but that's ok with me!).
I like the hipsters, though I tend to pull them up on the sides so they are more of a high hip thing. I've tried the full panty (too much material), and the hi-cut - those are ok, but harder to find and I prefer the hipster style.
It has been fun to buy a new size in them, but I have to restrain myself from going overboard, as I don't want to be in this size (22/24) for too long - on the other hand, I have to have a good supply of undergarments in reserve. So I am currently 1/2 and 1/2 of the old size and new size.
Now that you know more about me that you ever cared to.....
Good luck!

I can't help you much there, since I went and splurged at V.S now that I can fit in their stuff! Bought a ton of Larges and mediums. The Mediums are still in my drawer, waiting for a little bit more to come off. I can wear them, but not without stretching the spandex to the point of them riding right on up!

I love the Lane Bryant High cut or hipsters. They are the only ones I have work for several years now.

I did this too a couple of months ago during their big sale (with 18/20s at LB)! Not wanting to buy too many 22/24s cause hopefully I won't be in them that long, I started my set of 18/20s so I can just pull them out of the drawer when the time comes.....
And TW: Of course we like the same underwear type/brand! Why am I not surprised by that!

Seems like LB hipsters are on the top of the list.
Congrats on the smaller sizes gals and thanks for the suggestions.
