I edited this picture and I LOVE the way it turned out

It was a beautiful morning..It literally took my breath away to see all the flags underneath the beautiful sky

Congratulations, Aunt INK!!! Your pictures are so colorful-- love it!

SNAP Yes, there are a few people in this world who should be force-fed cookies and brownies!

Hanging out with the kiddo this hot, hot Saturday in Texas. I am ready for a week of weather that's below 100 degrees around here! I am 4 days from vacation and soooo excited to have some time off starting next Friday. Going to hit the beach, museums, malls and etc with the girls!

My happy thing today is that I have worked out 5 of 6 days this week (after we go to the pool this evening), and I'm really proud of myself!!! My teenager and I went to the gym last evening and had Subway for dinner. It feels good to make good choices, and will make any treats in the future-- treats. Not habits.

Really fast positive before I go to sleep, I lost another 2lbs this week. I had hoped for about 4 but I still have one more gym visit tomorrow and I shall weigh then. However, 2 is still better than nothing. Hope you all are having a lovely evening. It's almost midnight here, so I am off to bed!

Happy Sunday All!
Gonna make it a short post this morning. Just being lazy I guess.
Today was WI day and as I suspected the scale was up about 3 lbs. Just a little bit of this (vacation food) and a little bit of that (TOM). I look forward to a good whoosh next week and am going to push to get out of the 280's.
Hope everyone has a super sunday.

Learn

P.S. Text'd with Ags last night and she sends her love to all of you. She is adjusting to her new meds and will be back on 3FC soon.

Good Morning, Good Morning!
It's a brand new week and I don't know about you, but I am ready to be KICK BUTT POP this week.

MrsTee- Ga Day to you, have a great monday.

Bridget- Awesome loss, 2 pounds down. have an awesome day.

Lynn- I remember when I had a garage and unless I was going in there to get in the car to go somewhere it was off limits for me in the summer. Too darn hot.

Kerri- I saw on the news about the heatwave out your way, be careful, stay hydrated and stay cool.

Ink- My son is doing fantastic, thank you for asking. He's nervous about starting high school in August, but I know he'll do great. He finished 8th. grade with an A average, so me very proud of him. He's enjoying his summer, we're swimming a lot. I may try to teach him to drive this summer if I can convince him to do it. We have plenty of room here on the property to drive around.
Loved your pics of Fort Logan Cemetery. It reminds me of the Florida National Cemetery. Have you ever been to Arlington Nat. Cemetery? I have, so beautiful yet emotional.

sidanne, snap, Laura, lost, Ona, CJ, Ags- Missing all you very much.

I had a super POP day yesterday with my eating. Took the day off to rest my aching knees. They're very sore from all the driving.
Today it's back to work though and another super POP day.
Anyone care to join me?

Well today I reweighed myself and it said I was down a pound now why couldn't that have been on yesterdays WI. So hopefully this Sunday will have a bigger weight loss. I really buckled down yesterday to stay POP. I am doing the same today and hoping that I can spark alittle motivation to do some kind of exercise today. Can't walk outside because its extremely hot but i was thinking of doing some upperbody exercises. Maybe even motivate the hubby too.
I am glad to have you back Learn!!! You were definately missed a whole bunch.

So, I didn't go to the gym Sunday but I did go today and then after weighed. I am down another 2 pounds for the BEGINNING of this week. Yay! Hopefully by Sunday I will have lost another 4 more or at least 2. It's single digits but I am content with that. I'm doing well with my eating. Been so busy I've usually been eating 1200-1300. I've got to get that back up but hey. I'll count these 2 from last week and say all total I lost 4 last week. Been on point with exercise and been going 3 to 4 times a week. Woohoo. I'm beginning to be able to do more and can feel myself becoming stronger; a very nice feeling, I might add. Anyway on to quick personals...

Lynnie,- Good on you for motivating your husband. I know what it is like to go out walking in the heat (Florida, anyone?) and it is NOT fun. To be honest, I don't really like exercising outside. I like walking and taking things in but working out, no. Though, can you believe Scotland is SO cold that its gym doesn't NEED/HAVE an air conditioner! And good for you, -1 is something!

Learn- WB and thank you! I saw that you are from West Central Florida. Have you ever heard of Lake Wales, Florida? That is where I am from. I've heard you guys have been having terrible storms. I hope your knees feel better and I am right with you on having a POP day!

Ags- Miss you, can't wait till I see you back ! <3

Hello everyone! I miss you guys like crazy! I finally got a few free minutes to post after a really long month and it feels great to be back. Again, I've been reading everyone's posts on my phone but can't post in return so I'm going to skip personals for now and just jump in. I was going to stick in some new photos but when moving them from my phone to my sd card I deleted a bunch of them on accident. Bummer. Older pics with have to do!

I've been watching my nephew a lot more since summer began and that's why I haven't been around much. I've also been going out shopping with my sister and going for walks. It's been a mild summer so far and I've been taking advantage of sunny days in the 70's. It's finally heating up though, today and the rest of the week is going to be high 80's-low 90's.

So in mid June I celebrated my 7th wedding anniversary. My wedding band is too big and has been for over a year now and I really don't want to keep sizing it as I lose weight, so my hubby bought me new rings. They're my dream rings, like the cut and style of them... with one awesome perk. They're fake. They're cz, platinum over silver. Also, they were on sale and I got a coupon for the store that gave me 30% off, so it was $65 for both! I figured I have my wedding ring and engagement ring already and I love them, so why replace them. At the same time, I missed wearing them, so getting a cheap temporary set seemed like a great solution. Plus, at least to me, they're super cute!

Around the same time I also dyed my hair for the first time in 2 years. I was so sick of the incoming gray and it making me look older than I am. Bad news though... my old brand changed the formula and I had an allergic reaction. I figured I didn't need to test it since I've never had a problem before. I'm wondering if my body chemistry changed with the weight loss. All I know is I had a rash all over my scalp and along my hairline. It's fine now, but bye bye Feria, I won't be using you again.

I registered for my GED and the test is the first week in August. I showed up on time and prepared and the chief examiner said that that seldom happens. I was shocked and kind of saddened. I watched as people strolled in 20 minutes late wearing pj's and talking on cell phones and really not caring about where they were or why they were there. It bothered me so much because it is really important to me, always has been, to have an education. I didn't like being lumped in with people who don't care about what happens with their future, who aren't prompt and professional. Then it hit me... I'm getting old! Not in age necessarily, but in my tolerance for shenanigans. I'm going to be one of those people telling kids to keep off my lawn, I swear I see it coming. Anyway, I got that done and I've been doing a lot of prep work so I can score well. My last practice test I had a battery average of 627, 800 is the best, 450 is passing. I still have a ways to go but if I can repeat marks like that then I will get into the RT program without any trouble.

So that brings me to Friday. I had the best NSV so far on Friday. I went to Canobie Lake with my sister, her boyfriend and my nephew. Canobie is an amusement park in NH and I think I've told you guys before how much I love and missed them. I was scared to go on rides, thinking I'd get kicked off because of my weight again, but my nephew wasn't having any of it. We were able to get him a wristband because of his autism and since it was very overcast the park wasn't very crowded. We stayed for almost 8 hours which was rather shocking. I took Tim on his very first rollercoaster and we sat in the very front. That kid is fearless! He ended up dragging us to the new coaster, Untamed. It starts by a vertical lift, then immediately drops you (vertically I might add) 72ft before going on its way around the rest of the twists and turns. They had a seat out in front of the line with a disclaimer that said they could not accommodate people with larger body proportions so they asked you to test the seat and leg room first. When I tried the seat I was saying "please don't let me fit so I don't have to do this"... and guys... it FIT! Not just barely fit either. So Tim grabbed my hand and we started jogging to the exit ramp (that is where folks with wristbands load onto the ride) and we got right on and we all lived! My poor sister was scared to death too, since she has also lost about 200lbs and has had bad theme park experiences too. We kind of approached the trip as she and I were going to overcome this fear together and reclaim our lives all while taking Tim on his first rides. It was a huge success! I even ate healthy there. I got a make-your-own salad and had water, then 1 slice of plain cheese pizza. I had a great breakfast before I left and had a salad for dinner at home so I was POP for calories. Also, 8 hours of exercise isn't a bad thing. Tim likes to run, not walk, and I ran too to keep an eye on him. Since we didn't wait in lines really it was a lot of running. I couldn't believe I was able to keep up with him! Tim loved the water rides and the little water park area which was shocking since he hates getting wet. I ended up with mild whiplash from the Corkscrew though. It was the first ride where we were going upside down and I was worried how Tim would be. I was super tense and I got my head slammed around something awful because I was trying to watch him. He was fine, He was great on everything but the Ferris Wheel. It wasn't moving and he was getting antsy so we decided to take him off it before it started. How horrible would it have been if he tried to get off while we were stuck at the top, you know? Hopefully I'll have pics soon. I was wicked sore all weekend and I'm still feeling it today. I ended up +6 lbs for Saturday and today I'm -7 from that, so I think it might have been swelling from both my neck injury and the sore muscles. Seems to be going down just fine, and I'm back at 245. I skipped my official WI and measurements for obvious reasons though.

Okay, so picture time.

Someone, I think Laura?, asked to see more pics of my afghan. This panel is almost done

and this one is just the background, which is black so the panel will look exactly the same

My rings... please excuse my finger bulge. I got them a half size too small so that they'd last longer.

This is me before my GED registration/class thing

Okay guys, that's it for now. Hope your week is starting out with a bang and I'll try to pop in tomorrow. No promises, I have to watch Tim for the next 2 days, but I will try.
-J

Yay Learn, the anti-chickening vibes worked! I did it! I showed up for my very first exercise class this afternoon, I participated at my own pace, and kept going all the way to the end! This is a huge amazing nsv for me. A few months ago I don't think I could stand up for 45 minutes, never mind exercise (albeit gently) for that long.

I was very happy to see they have a BIG girl scale in the locker room and I weighed myself for the first time in a long time. I need to check with my doctor, but I believe my highest documented weight was in the 450s. Today at 3pm I weighed 399.7 but I'm going to round down to 399 and say good bye to that 4 F.O.R.E.V.E.R.

Wow, Sidanne, cakegirl, Bridget nice job on all the scale and non scale victories! And a big cheerleader go go go to everyone working on their plans.

Now to go see if I can figure out those cool ticker thingies. *waves*
