Default make it for Baby and me!

I Have been here before a few times. I had lost almost 60 lbs. Then the holidays hit and I stopped do it all together and next thing I know I weigh more then I did before. Now I'm at 318. My husband and I have been together for nearly 10 years and married for 5 and we want to have a baby. I feel like my maternal clock is stomping on my head! So I called the dr. and he said I need to be less then 250 to have a good pregnancy. So here it is. I'm on weight watchers new plan and my thyroid meds. and trying to be more active and I have cut out soda completely! And Im writing everything down now it really seemed to help last time so here we go again.

Truthfully~ that's why I am here! At my starting weight I wasn't healthy enough me, let alone baby and me! I had a honest discussion with some of the MDs I know- yeesh! C sections, eclampsia, and gestational diabetes just to name a few. These things can happen to thin pregnant women... What hope would I have at 363? To really make you hair curl. Check out wellroundedmama 's blog NSFW but very educating on overweight women and pregnancy!

Hi Rebecca,

I also am losing the excess weight and will be ttc sometime late next year. Here is a thread that has many others that are also in a similar position: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/chic...by-2012-a.html

Best wishes on your journey!

Welcome and Congrats. I would also like to say that I have had 3 amazing pregnancies and I have always been over 250.

Its all worth it for babies!

My second boy is 4 months old tomorrow. I started both pregnancies at 279lbs and hardly put any weight on at all. One of the plus sides of being bigger to start with.
