Default Back...23 lbs heavier

I'm surprisingly good with that.

I was at 265 in early October. I got busy with personal things, travel, and the holidays. I was at 277 on December 24th. By the time I made it back to my house after New Year's I was up to 292. I was 288 this morning.

Anyway...hello again. I'll be back to freaking out over the 260s soon enough.

You've already loss 4 lbs since the New Year... that is a great start! And on top of that you are still MUCH smaller (70 lbs) than you were originally!

Welcome back and best wishes as you become a big loser!

I love the first few days back on plan. Down 2 lbs since yesterday morning. I should lose another 8-10 in water weight fairly quickly with minimal effort.

This was the 2nd time in the past decade that I hit the 270 mark and regained. Definitely some issues there that have to be overcome, and it's time to do that.

I think that we all have had times that we regained some weight. Put it behind you and continue on. You are back on the path!

Down a total of 8 lbs since the 23rd. I should hit the 270s again by Monday. I don't know why that one pound makes a difference mentally, but it's huge to me somehow. 15 to get back to my October weight.

It is good that you got right back on track! When I backslide, I don't stop until I have reached a new, all-time high. That is what I am trying hard not to do.

277 on Monday. 289 on Wednesday. More of the same yesterday. That's not a typo. Oh...my...goodness.

My idiot self decided that having pork rinds was a great idea. I hadn't eaten anything salty in several weeks, and I blew up like a balloon. I've been absolutely miserable for the past two days. My face is swollen and puffy to match the rest of me. All the additional water has done is bloat me further.

Today...I'm running to the potty every 20 minutes to tinkle, and I'm 3 lbs less than yesterday. Note to self: Don't do that again.

EDIT: 284...So 5 lbs less than yesterday, and it's only 5:30 p.m. Woo hoo. 276 again by Monday?? I hope so.

I've been unemployed since Christmas Eve. A friend temporarily moved in with me...and I had to find a way to pay my bills and feed two people on unemployment. (His employer closed the doors, and while he found a new job, he wasn't paid his commission until a month later, and was evicted.) He moved into a new place a couple of weeks ago, but that was extra strain. I lived on rice, beans, salsa...and eggs for weeks.

I accepted a job offer on Friday, but it will be another week or two when I start...but I allowed myself the luxury of buying real food again. I'm taking a leap of faith and hoping that the project moves forward and won't be canceled. I found chicken breasts for $1.88/lb, pork for $2.99/lb, and some manager's special gourmet burger patties for $1.99.

So...back to lower carb I go. Wish me luck.
